The purpose of this column is to highlight some players with upside and well-suited for tournaments. While the majority of the hitter picks will likely have power upside, that's not necessarily the case for all the listed options. Other contextual factors such as batting order, ballpark, opposing pitcher, price, speed, etc also come into play, and you'll see these items sprinkled into the write-ups below. Along with that, we'll be gauging the ownership levels, giving you some plausible pivots from the popular choices in a given game slate.

Tyson Ross will go overlooked tonight due to him being an underdog against Madison Bumgarner on the road. Important notes about Ross tonight – This season he has a 28.9 strikeout percentage over five games and a BABIP of .348. To put his BABIP into context, last season he finished with a .291 and the season before that

Agree big time on Ross, with be pairing him with Keuchel a lot - Don't mind a mini Jays stack either - Small sample size (37 AB), but DONGaldsons' wOBA vs. RHP at home is .505 & wRC+ 223

Ross is a great call. If he can keep his walks in check, he's in for a big night against this Giants lineup. I think he gets some run support too with those lefty-mashers in his lineup.

Like Peralta tonight hitting fourth, him and Holliday could so some damage.
