Cash Game Locks: MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball
Cash games typically reward high floor rosters. You don't need to score 60 points on FanDuel or 160 on DraftKings to win money. Instead, you should aim for a nice base of around 40 and 120 points, respectively. Our MLB Cash Game Picks will highlight the top pick and a value pick at each position for both platforms.

We meet again David Price. He burned many last time out, but he takes on the Twins tonight in Minnesota, and is one of the top cash game options. Minnesota has a .281 team wOBA against left-handed pitching and are coming off a trip from Seattle. Price has had good success against Minnesota, and dominated them on Opening Day, almost throwing a complete game shutout. He has a 21% strikeout rate this season, and should dial up a few punch-outs. I fully expect Price to rebound tonight.
This game should be very low scoring tonight, and I am expecting a lot of strikeouts between the two teams. James Shields has a 27.9% strikeout rate through five starts this season, which is among some of the best in the league. He faces a strikeout happy Houston team tonight, who whiff at a 23.9% rate against right-handed pitching. I love Shields on both sites tonight, while his price on FanDuel is a bargain. He is slightly favored, according to Vegas, and I have more faith in San Diego's offense than I do Houston's.
On DraftKings tonight, Collin McHugh is a solid SP2. The win is not as important on DraftKings, which is why I would rank Shields above him on FanDuel. McHugh can really rack up the strikeouts, and San Diego still carries a 21% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. He has a 24% strikeout rate this season, and has upped his ground ball rate to 54.7% from 42% in 2014. Dating back to last season, he is 10-0, with a 1.91 ERA in his last 13 starts.

We missed out on Buster Posey against another lefty in Coors yesterday, but we get another opportunity tonight. He faces lefty Brett Anderson in L.A. tonight. His price on both sites is very affordable, even when rostering David Price. Dodger Stadium gets a wrap for being an average hitter's park, when in reality it is very favorable from both sides. In the last three seasons per StatCorner, Dodger Stadium has a 112 park factor for home runs to right-handed bats.
Brian McCann takes on an unproven righty tonight at home, and playing at home always gives a tremendous boost to these Yankees' bats. Nate Karns has struggled so far this season, and the damage could of been worse if he was making his starts away from Tropicana. He has a 40.6% fly ball rate so far this season, and in a park like New York, that could be some trouble. McCann has the matchup to do some damage.

$3,000 | $4,300 | Jason Marquis - R | .387 | .206 | 146 | 4 | 7.5 |
Paul Goldschmidt is my favorite play of the night. He has mashed left-handed pitching, and gets a weak one tonight in Tyler Matzek. In just 98.1 career innings against right-handed bats, he has allowed a .368 wOBA. Goldy has a very high price tag, but tonight has the potential for a monster game. He rarely leaves you with a dud, and a first baseman who has potential to add a stolen base is a great addition.
The Brewers lineup is battered right now, but they do have a great matchup in Cincinnati against Jason Marquis. Over the last three seasons, Great American Ballpark has 150 park factor in home runs to left-handed bats. With Marquis allowing a .384 wOBA to lefties over the last three seasons, Adam Lind is very well in play tonight. In a lineup with Price, Lind creates the chance to make a balanced lineup.

It is always nice to target Robinson Cano in hitter's parks, and tonight he is in Texas. Yovani Gallardo has been decent for Texas this season, but facing Cano is a different story. His price is a little steep on DraftKings, but FanDuel it is fairly reasonable. He has a .381 wOBA against right-handed pitching already this season, and is a top option tonight.
The Tigers have one of the more favorable matchups tonight as a team. Tommy Milone has allowed a .332 wOBA to right-handed bats over the last three seasons, and the Tigers are loaded with some of the best in the game. Like many of the Tigers bats, Ian Kinsler has a great track record against lefties.

Ian Desmond has a lot of pop for a shortstop, and is a about $1,000 cheaper than Troy Tulowitzki, who is also a nice play tonight. He faces Eric Stults tonight, who has allowed a .343 to right-handed bats over the last three seasons, alongside a high 1.48 HR/9. He has a great chance to showcase some power tonight.
With all the injuries, Jean Segura has jumped up to the lead-off spot. He is a decent value play on FanDuel tonight against Marquis. Segura also adds the speed factor to his game, which is a nice thing to have from a value play, especially someone who is not a huge average guy.

Kris Bryant is off to a really good start in his major league career, hitting .385 against right-handed pitching so far. He faces Vance Worley tonight, who has allowed a .339 wOBA against right-handed bats this season. He has an impressive 19% walk rate this season, showing a lot of patience.
DraftKings finally decided to raise Jimmy Paredes' price, where he is on fire over the last week. Hector Noesi is one of the worst pitchers on the night, Baltimore is a great team to target. He should be up in the top of the order, and is still cheap on FanDuel.

Noesi has allowed a .356 wOBA, and a 1.32 HR/9 to right-handed bats over the last three seasons. Adam Jones is a guy who is on fire this season, and at home tonight is a great option. He has five home runs, with a .403 average already this season.
Charlie Blackmon is going to headline the Colorado outfield for me tonight, just due to the injury concern of Corey DIckerson. He faces a weak right-handed pitcher tonight, and Arizona is a great place to hit. This game has a high total, and both teams should score a ton of runs tonight.
Another Tiger bat tonight, Yoenis Cespedes is the cheaper out of the Detroit outfield, but they are all in play. He has a great matchup against Milone, I expect the Tigers to score a ton of runs tonight, and he has great numbers against left-handed pitching.
Ubaldo Jimenez has struggled against left-handed bats over the last three seasons, allowing a .337 wOBA. Baltimore has a 133 park factor for home runs to left-handed bats. Melky Cabrera is not a big power guy, but is a candidate to go yard from time to time. He has great numbers against right-handed pitching, and is a great price on FanDuel tonight, hitting second in the lineup.
