We are heading into week three of the baseball season, and just as everyone predicted, Bartolo Colon leads the league in wins and has a better ERA than Clayton Kershaw. D.J. LeMahieu and Jose Iglesias are both hitting over .400, and the Mets are sitting in first place. What is happening in this world? Well, let me tell you.

Major League Baseball Discovers A Few New Planets

Bryce Harper was one of the many who had a multi-homer week, but man he launched one 462 feet on Saturday. He almost had four this week, but Mookie Betts held him to three, with an amazing effort to pull one back into play.

Eight players this week had three homers added to their season totals, while 32 players had two homer weeks. Nelson Cruz had to make everyone else look average here and hit five this week, but more on him later.

All Is Right In The World

After disappointing many Milwaukee stacks on Opening Day, Kyle Kendrick has come back to down to earth. He allowed seven earned runs in two starts this week, which is getting back on track to where we want him in the DFS world. He was not the only starter to find old poor habits, Clay Buchholz allowed eleven earned runs over two starts, with the majority coming against the Yankees. We are in the early stages of trying to find out who to stack against every time they are on the mound. So hey Kyle Kendrick, could you bring me my latte while I stack against you?

No Daily Fantasy Sports For You!

This week MLB prohibited players from playing daily fantasy baseball. I was really beginning to wonder, because I keep seeing "Latos99" stacking whoever is playing against Mat Latos. It must be a coincidence. If I see any Colorado usernames fade a Coors game and it ends up 2-1, I am calling BS.

Who Is Going To Hit Five Home Runs This Week?

First Adrian Gonzalez hit five home runs in a week, now Nelson Cruz matches. This is being written before he takes on Ross Detwiler today, so it could be six or seven when all is said and done. He has been the offense so far in Seattle, with five home runs I would expect for than six RBI in that span. The daily fantasy world thanks you Nelson Cruz, and nobody else on that Seattle team.

This Week's Studs

Josh Dongaldson - I am enjoying watching Josh Donaldson in the Rogers Centre, where he has three home runs and is hitting over .400. He is a big time fantasy player this week, and also for Toronto with Saturday's walk-off.

Alex Rodriguez - This one pains me as a Red Sox fan, but I have to list A-Rod here. He has three home runs, and nine RBI over the last seven days. Who would of thought A-Rod would be the Yankees best hitter so far this season?

Kris Bryant - He got called up to the majors this week, that's it...

Jacob DeGrom - Matt Harvey is back and rocking, but DeGrom allowed zero earned runs over two starts this week. The aces are expected to be great, but the two-three starters in the rotation are the real daily fantasy gems.

Nelson Cruz & Bryce Harper - Combined for eight home runs this week, and there are many more players who went yard this week, but I don't have all day.

This Week's Duds

Anibal Sanchez - This one is personal, and it is taking a lot of energy to not fill this section full of profanity. Sanchez allowed 14 earned runs in two starts this week, and nine game Saturday versus the White Sox. Chicago had been lacking offensively, and Sanchez was an above average play, but he left DFS users with -3.67 on FanDuel. I will just pull up my DraftKings recent contests, and there he is with a -13.1.

Milwaukee Brewers - If you don't succeed at first, try, try again. That is what I will be doing until Milwaukee breaks out of this team slump. They have a .236 wOBA as a team so far this season, and I will give Jean Segura a mention for being fantasy worthy so far.

Chris Davis & Brandon Moss - It was a rough week for these two guys, striking out in over 50% of their plate at-bats. The phrase boom or bust is used a lot in fantasy baseball, and these two have their pictures underneath the definition.

That recaps this week, Jason out!
