The purpose of this column is to highlight some players with upside and well-suited for tournaments. While the majority of the hitter picks will likely have power upside, that's not necessarily the case for all the listed options. Other contextual factors such as batting order, ballpark, opposing pitcher, price, speed, etc also come into play, and you'll see these items sprinkled into the write-ups below. Along with that, we'll be gauging the ownership levels, giving you some plausible pivots from the popular choices in a given game slate.

Noah Syndergaard is clearly the play tonight, and he will be in many of my GPP lineups. However for a few of my pivot lineups, and on sites like DraftKings and Yahoo where 2 pitchers are required C-Mart will be highly owned for me. Coming off of a great start where he didn't receive a win against the Yankees, he now faces a red-hot hitting team in Milwaukee. Somewhat concerning, I am hoping others will shy away from him tonight, and the combo of Syndergaard and Brewers fear will leave him as a lown owned pitcher.

Aside from his abysmal performance in Cincy he has produced 43, and 56 FanDuel points respectively along with 10 and 11 K's. The upside is here, and if he is on, should be able to get those Brewers to whiff aplenty. His high groundball percentage tonight (56.4%) is very appealing against this team crushing the ball right now as well.

Cruz appears to be heating up now over his past 6 games. Only one of those games did he have less than 13 FanDuel points. Today the right-handed slugger faces another righty in Valdez, but that shouldn't intimidate you too much the way he has been hitting and getting on base. We haven't seen Valdez yet, but this could be a feast of a night for Cruz in Oakland.

Moustakas has become a dare I say “safe" play this season. He has produced some form of Fantasy points in all but one game this season and today he is facing a right-handed pitcher in Cashner who Moustakas seems to crush. After hitting back to back home runs on the 14th and 15th he has had a slight dry spell. Today I can easily see that changing against Cashner in Texas.

Like teammate Cruz, Haniger has been crushing the ball as of late. Actually , he has all season long and his FanDuel price simply hasn't caught up to his production yet. He only has two games without a hit, and is averaging a whopping 16.22 FanDuel points a game this season. He has been doing it all with 4 homers, hitting for .323 and knocking in 15 RBI. Keep riding the wave tonight, especially against an unproven pitcher in Valdez. He may be chalky tonight, but that is fine with me.

The pricing on Adams is about as skewed as you can get between sites today. Minimum on FanDuel and a whopping +$1,500 more on DraftKings. Needless to say if he is in the lineup today and facing a right-handed pitcher he is worth a flyer at min salary on FanDuel. On DraftKIngs, he may not be as enticing, but should still make an intriguing option. His wOBA, and ISO are very good against right-handed pitchers like Davies and the Cardinals are projected to put up some runs today. Keep tabs on starting lineups, but Adams should be in the lineup with these splits today.
