The purpose of this column is to highlight some players with upside and well-suited for tournaments. While the majority of the hitter picks will likely have power upside, that's not necessarily the case for all the listed options. Other contextual factors such as batting order, ballpark, opposing pitcher, price, speed, etc also come into play, and you'll see these items sprinkled into the write-ups below. Along with that, we'll be gauging the ownership levels, giving you some plausible pivots from the popular choices in a given game slate.

Keuchel is looking to be the highest owned pitcher on today's slate. Keuchel looks to be back to his dominant ground ball forcing self as he was in 2015. He faces the A's today with heavy odds for a win (Vegas line at -205). I am definitely intrigued by the likes of Chris Archer, Noah Syndergaard, and even Joe Ross, but for today and majority of lineups Keuchel will be my go to guy. He may not get as many K's as the others but the likelihood for a win, quality start and opponent all work in his favor. He should be 25-30% owned today.

Thames has had a a few “meh" games over his last two starts which for Thames are a 3 point, and 9 point FanDuel output. Not great but still something. Prior to that his power was on full display and today's matchup is simply too drool worthy not to plug in. Freddie Freeman is another tempting play and they should be owned around the same, but Thames in this matchup feels right.

Dozier had a goose egg in his last start, and that is a rare occurrence this season. Prior to that he had 5 hits and 5 RBI in his last five games. He hasn't hit a homerun in a while too so perhaps today he will power through against Hammel who he had a nice game against the last time he faced him. His 0.359 wOBA should give you a little confidence as well. Even with his lack of early power Dozier is averaging 10.2 FanDuel points a game this young season.

Moustakas remains one of my favorite and safe Fantasy plays this season. Today in particular he faces the un-intimidating Phil Hughes in a lefty vs righty matchup. Moustakas has been playing well against both pitching arms this season, but his numbers against righties remain better than average. He is producing and has hit 2 home runs over his last five games. Today it is certainly a possibility, and he has only gone hitless once over his last 10 games. Safe with upside.

Perez has had a shaky season so far and over his last five games he has sandwiched in a few hitless nights with some solid production. Due to yesterday's rain out, the Royal's may not sit Perez today which is a positive in this matchup. His last game he hit a moonshot, and produced 28.2 FanDuel points. His numbers aren't fantastic, but if you have some budget left to spend a little more on catcher today Perez makes a nice play. As always keep tabs on weather and lineups, especially with catchers on Sunday's.

Good Luck everyone!
