The purpose of this column is to highlight some players with upside and well-suited for tournaments. While the majority of the hitter picks will likely have power upside, that's not necessarily the case for all the listed options. Other contextual factors such as batting order, ballpark, opposing pitcher, price, speed, etc also come into play, and you'll see these items sprinkled into the write-ups below. Along with that, we'll be gauging the ownership levels, giving you some plausible pivots from the popular choices in a given game slate.

This is another spot where people are going to fade Clayton Kershaw, to go cheaper and save the salary, and I just don't see the reasoning in that. Kershaw is the best pitcher on the planet, and he's the easiest play of the night. So much strikeout potential tonight, and with his last game just being so-so, the ownership will be worth the price. I love him in all formats tonight. If I'm making 50 lineups tonight, he's on all of them.

Even though Cody Bellinger is super high-priced, I should mention him, because of the lack of ownership he will carry tonight. He's arguably been the hottest hitter other than Aaron Judge, since he arrived in the big leagues. Zack Wheeler has a tough time for power left-handed bats, and that's exactly what Bellinger is. He's in a great spot to put up a big score tonight, and although I will have problems fitting him in tonight (because of Kershaw), he is a great GPP on this slate.

I really love Adam Duvall tonight. Jake Odorizzi is a reverse-splits pitcher, and Duvall crushes right-handed pitching. The best part about this Reds team tonight, is that they are going to be super contrarian. i love the Reds stack here, with Duvall leading the way tonight. I'm going to be rostering a lot of cheaper guys, and value stacks, to ensure I have a team I like with Kershaw on the mound. Duvall is in play in all formats tonight.

Anibal Sanchez is horrible, and I'm looking to attack him anyway possible tonight. Kyle Seager is a great way to do that. He's too cheap on both sites (especially DraftKings), and is cash-game playable at this price. Seager has also been stroking the ball lately. He's been having some bad luck with his recent BABIP, but that should turn around the way he's hitting it. I like the Seattle stack here, and I love Seager tonight.

Yeah, Javier Baez is that cheap tonight against a lefty. I agree, It's completely crazy, but he's just the value guy we're looking for on this kind of slate. The wind is blowing out in Wrigley tonight, and the implied run total would make you think the Cubs are in play here. I do think there is a contrarian Cubs stack here with Albert Almora Jr., Kris Bryant, and Wilson Contreras, but if you're looking for cheap exposure to this offense with massive upside, Baez is your guy.
