Each day of the MLB season will bring us some major price differences among starting pitchers on all sites. These price discrepancies and the site's roster differences can alter the way we use pitchers on each site, as well as how the field of opponents will use them. Listed below are five of today's top pitchers, each with their salary listed as well as the cafe value that takes into account both the total salary cap on the site and points-per-dollar. Luis Severino
Luis Severino is top dog on the night slate, and as usual it is a Thursday slate with not much to offer up after. Even with Jake Arrieta on the slate, Severino has been the more consistent option, which is why he is drawing the heavier price tag. Severino has been excellent this season, holding hitters to a .263 wOBA, with a 27.7% strikeout rate, and a 6.8% walk rate. Severino is a huge favorite on tonight's slate, in fact the biggest on the board. The Angels also are fighting with the Mets for the lowest implied team total. Severino is the top cash game option, and even worthy of a GPP look. The Angels rank 25th in wOBA and ISO, and 22nd in K%. While the top half of the Angels lineup doesn't strikeout much, the back half does.
