Each day of the MLB season will bring us some major price differences among starting pitchers on all sites. These price discrepancies and the site's roster differences can alter the way we use pitchers on each site, as well as how the field of opponents will use them. Listed below are five of today's top pitchers, each with their salary listed as well as the cafe value that takes into account both the total salary cap on the site and points-per-dollar. We've also provided some betting info for you reference. The higher the cafe value, the better the points-per-dollar play is.

Jacob deGrom

The first slate after the All-Star Break is always a fun one. We have a few big names on the hill, but most take the break and have it extended a bit. Jacob deGrom gets the ball tonight against a Colorado offense outside of Coors. Away from home they rank 24th in wOBA (.299), and dead last in ISO (.130). Their Hard% is below 30% and they have a K% over 23%. Against right-handers this season, Colorado ranks 17th in wOBA which is on par with Oakland and Miami, but they also have a lesser ISO. The strikeout rate is above 22%, so there are strikeouts to be had for deGrom here. Over the last few weeks with the regression of the Colorado staff, the offense has failed to make up the difference. We might start to see a slip in the standings for Colorado if the offense doesn't wake up, because over the first half of the season they rank 12th in wOBA, 19th in ISO, and 29th in wRC+. deGrom has been excellent in the first half, and should see some positive regression in the ERA department. He has been a little unlucky with the long ball, and is missing a ton of bats. His 14.2 SwStr% is top ten in baseball and has turned into a 28.4% strikeout rate. deGrom has been better off at home as well, allowing a .269 wOBA compared to a .324 wOBA on the road. Outside of Citi Field is where the HR struggles are. Weather in New York looks a little iffy here early on in the morning, so he tournaments might be best suited for deGrom if things don't clear up. Otherwise, he is playable in all formats.
