Each day of the MLB season will bring us some major price differences among starting pitchers on all sites. These price discrepancies and the site's roster differences can alter the way we use pitchers on each site, as well as how the field of opponents will use them. Listed below are five of today's top pitchers, each with their salary listed as well as the cafe value that takes into account both the total salary cap on the site and points-per-dollar. We've also provided some betting info for you reference. The higher the cafe value, the better the points-per-dollar play is.

Corey Kluber

Facing the Boston Red Sox isn't an ideal matchup for opposing pitchers, even if they have a lack of power. This is an offense that doesn't allow a ton of upside, given they only have a 19.2% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching, and rank fourth in Contact% (80.1%). Corey Kluber throws his curveball and cutter about 50% of the time, which are two pitches Boston can handle. They rank 13th against cutters, and fourth against curveballs. Against the current Red Sox lineup, Kluber only has a 23.6% strikeout rate, which isn't all that appealing for the price tag. While Kluber is someone who can rack up double-digit strikeouts against anyone, the odds are lower against the Red Sox. I could see games similar to his last against Kansas City or against Detroit back on July 9th, yet of course the upside games are all in-between those. No surprise, Kluber leads the slate in most categories as a Cy Young candidate with Chris Sale. Kluber leads the league in Put Away% and Whf/Sw. Kluber comes in as an expensive option tonight, and is playable in all formats. With a few other names on the slate in good spots, I will spread out my exposure, especially in GPPs.
