Welcome to MLB GPP Stacking & Ownership. In this article I will give you three options to stack. Remember that winning a GPP isn't always about maximizing points but instead maximizing some form of points and ownership.

Option 1

Cardinals @ Reds - Game Total 9.5

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Matt Carpenter3B$4,000$5,300
Aledmys DiazSS$3,400$4,400
Matt HollidayOF$3,200$4,600
Stephen PiscottyOF$3,700$5,000
Matt Adams1B$3,400$3,900

The Cardinals are priced up for this special occasion against Alfredo Simon. Even with price considered they're still worth it. Simon comes into this matchup with a 1.38 HR/9, 1.54 WHIP and a lowly 14.3 K% since 2015. He's been weak against lefties since 2015, allowing a .382 wOBA and a 1.53 HR/9. This is a positive indicator for both Matt Carpenter and Matt Adams. While he hasn't been quite as weak against righties, it's still not pretty. Simon is allowing 1.20 HR/9, a 1.43 WHIP and a .344 wOBA to right handed bats since 2015. The Cardinals are big -172 favorites on the road today, and are projected for 5.5 runs. This could get out of hand quickly, and if it does it would be a great sight to see the Reds bullpen getting warmed up.

Option 2

Astros @ Rangers - Game Total 9.0

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Jurickson Profar2B$3,100$4,000
Ian DesomndOF$3,800$4,900
Nomar MazaraOF$3,200$4,000
Adrian Beltre3B$3,300$4,300
Rougned Odor2B$3,100$4,300

The Rangers are projected for five runs tonight and face off against Doug Fister. The Rangers are ninth in wOBA against right handed bats since 2015, and have begun to string together some nice performances with Rougned Odor and Jurickson Profar but in the lineup. Fister has a 1.22 HR/9 since 2015 and a low 5.41 K/9 . Fister has allowed nine home runs in his last eleven games, and has struggled with most of his pitches this year.

Option 3

Rockies @ Dodgers - Game Total 7.5

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Enrique HernandezOF$2,600$3,200
Corey SeagerSS$3,900$5,200
Justin Turner3B$2,700$2,900
Adrian Gonzalez1B$3,100$3,900
Trayce Thompson OF$3,700$3,500

The Dodgers face off against Chris Rusin and the Rockies tonight. Rusin is a lefty who's given up ten plus hits in three of his last six games, and hasn't gotten above six strikeouts this year. While his struggles at home are understandable, he's been just as bad on the road. Teams aren't even getting him with power (only a 1.05 HR/9) but his lack of strikeout rate and high BB% makes it difficult to consistently get batters out. His 1.55 WHIP since 2015 is the highest on this slate. The Dodgers are 10th in wOBA against lefties since 2015, and are 12th in wOBA. They're also 20th in strikeout rate. Corey Seager has been on fire of late, and while this is a lefty on lefty matchup for him, he still has reasonable contrarian upside. Enrique Hernandez is a nice plug-in for super cheap that makes this stack even more appealing.
