Welcome to MLB GPP Stacking & Ownership. In this article I will give you three options to stack. Remember that winning a GPP isn't always about maximizing points but instead maximizing some form of points and ownership.

With Coors on the slate and some reasonable pitching options, it becomes tougher and tougher to find stacking options that are actually viable and in-play, but we have three here. Just make sure to take a strong look at the Phillies and Rockies lineups before making any big decisions.

Option 1

Twins @ Rangers - Game Total 11

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Shin-Soo ChooOF$3,900$4,900
Ian DesmondOF$4,000$4,800
Nomar MazaraOF$2,700$3,700
Adrian Beltre3B$3,700$4,200
Prince Fielder1B$2,700$3,700

A value stack on both slates, in some ways, the Rangers aren't quite on the level of a Coors game, but they're projected for 5.5 runs. Tyler Duffy is allowing a pretty mediocre .308 wOBA and 1.04 HR/9 to left handed bats in 2016, but he's more of a reverse-splits guy anyway. Since 2015, Tyler Duffy is allowing 2.31 HR/9 to right handed bats and a .384 wOBA. Adrian Beltre and Ian Desmond have to be a major concern for him, and borderline cash game plays on all sites. Duffy has allowed 11 home runs in his last seven starts, and should continue on that pace tonight against a powerful Rangers lineup.

Option 2

Tigers @ Blue Jays - Game Total 9.5

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Ian Kinsler2B$4,000$4,200
Cameron MaybinOF$3,200$3,800
Miguel Cabrera1B$3,300$3,800
Victor Martinez1B/C$3,900$4,000
Nick Castellanos3B$3,800$3,600

The Tigers come into this matchup projected for 4.5 runs and with that considered, very reasonably priced on both slates. The Tigers are seventh in wOBA and 10th in wRC+ against right handed pitching since 2015. They face off against Blue Jays pitcher Drew Hutchison, in a park with solid hit factors. In 61 innings against righties since 2015, Hutchison is allowing a .391 wOBA and 1.46 HR/9. This is obviously troubling, as the heart of the Tigers order is right handed, especially Ian Kinsler and Miguel Cabrera. While they certainly don't have the most upside on this slate, they bring a solid floor and reasonable upside, perfect for cash game lineups.

Option 3

Yankees @ Indians - Game Total 9

NamePositionFanDuel SalaryDraftKings Salary
Jason Kipnis2B$3,800$5,100
Francisco LindorSS$2,900$4,900
Mike Napoli1B$3,400$4,700
Jose Ramirez3B/OF$3,000$4,400
Lonnie ChisenhallOF$2,400$4,600

DraftKings is certainly making you pay up for the Indians bats tonight, but with that considered, they're still a solid option on both sites. In terms of how they fit, they're a contrarian tournament lineup on DraftKings and a borderline cash game group on FanDuel, so that's an important distinction to make. Diving into the numbers, the Indians face ofd against struggling Yankees right hander Ivan Nova tonight. In 2016, Nova is allowing 1.78 HR/9 to left handed bats and a .357 wOBA. Even when you extend his splits to 2015, he's still allowing 1.67 HR/9 and an even worse .375 wOBA. Three of the top four bats in the Indians lineup are switch hitters, and it's fairly clear they'll be batting from the left side of the plate tonight.
