Recap

What an exciting finish that was for Spieth to capture the third leg of The Grand Slam! He beat the elements on Thursday and Friday then put the foot down on the pedal on the weekend. Props for Kuchar for sticking it with Spieth right to the end. For DraftKings, it was a decent sweat on the weekend with being in the top 100 in the milly maker during Saturday's round. However, I dropped down to just inside the top 1200 because there were a lot of popular picks inside the top 10, which prevented me from having a nice payday. Overall, it was a good week for the core, going 3 for 4 with Haas missing the cut. Congrats on Spieth, “The Golden Child”, on winning The Open!

This Week

We are headed north of the boarder, my home country, for the RBC Canadian Open. The course is called, Glen Abbey Golf Club. It's a par 72, 7,253 yards. This is the site where Tiger hit that famous bunker shot on 18 in the year 2000 to complete the “Triple Crown”. You have your usual RBC suspects, such as, Matt Kuchar, Adam Hadwin, the rest of the Canadian squad, and a few more. You also have Dustin Johnson as the main attraction for the tournament. The stats that I'm looking at for this week are, B.O.B.%; SG: Approach The Green; SG: Around The Green; and Par 4 scoring.

Core

Matt Kuchar ($11,400) – Kuchar is one of your best consistent players on tour. For stats, he's ranked 8th overall for what I'm looking for. He's 56th in the field for B.O.B. % (98th); 33rd in the field for SG: Approach The Green (68th); 10th in the field for SG: Around The Green (18th); and he's tied for 5th in the field for Par 4 scoring (20th). He has made 3 top 10s in his last 3 starts at this event. With the runner up finish last week and with 5 top 20s before The Open, I'm not fading Kuchar again. He'll be in most of my lineups for this week.

Tony Finau ($9,500) – Finau is becoming a really good ball striker this season. For stats, he's 3rd in the field for overall. He's 4th in the field for B.O.B. % (13th); 9th in the field for SG: Approach The Green (29th); 36th in the field for SG: Around The Green (66th); and he's tied for 1st in the field for Par 4 scoring (11th). With a top 10 in his last 3 starts, and with making his last 2 cuts at this event, he will be nice addition to the core.

Camilo Villegas ($7,200) – I believe this will be my first time playing Villegas all year. There is a good reason why, because he is coming into form. For stats, he is ranked 9th overall. He's 11th in the field for B.O.B. % (31st); 24th in the field for SG: Approach The Green (53rd); 25th in the field for SG: Around The Green (53rd); and he's 34th in the field for Par 4 scoring (71st). His history is not bad either with making his last 3 cuts at this event, including a 22nd in 2015. With his best finish at the John Deere Classic, 19th, since the Texas Open, he will be my dark horse for this week.

Michael Kim ($6,600) – Kim has been consistent for the past few months with making cuts and showing up on leaderboards. He has made his last 3 cuts, including a top 30 finish at The Greenbrier Classic. For stats, he's ranked 12th overall. He's 31st in the field for B.O.B. % (63rd); 40th in the field for SG: Approach The Green (75th); 37th in the field for SG: Around The Green (68th); and he's 10th in the field for Par 4 scoring (31st). With a decent finish here last year, 49th, look for him to be in bulk of my lineups for this week.

Exposure

For exposure, I recommend going 40-60% this week. If you like to play the multi entry gpps, I would go no more than 60% for your core and pick around 15-20 more golfers to complete your player pool. If you like to play the 3 entry max gpps, I recommend using the 4 golfers and add about 6-8 more to complete the pool. That way if your core hits, then you will have a really good chance of having a nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, that it is what we're all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
