Hump Day has come and gone and we have had an awesome winning week! Let's keep this week's winning streak going on Thursday's 6 game slate! We have 3 teams on their second night of back to backs, with those teams being the Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz. Wednesday was an awesome slate for game stacks, Thursday, on the other hand, is not. Because of this, I believe ownership will be distributed across all players, so we do not have to worry about ownership as much.

For my first pick, I will be picking on the Utah Jazz who are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on the second night of a back to back. Often, we get opposing teams and players at lower ownership because the Utah Jazz rank 3rd in defensive rating this season. The Jazz are very good in terms of DVP vs most positions, but they aren't as strong vs the center position, as they rank 22nd vs the position. This puts Karl Anthony Towns as one of my favorite tournament plays on the slate. Towns has been on a tear since he missed two games due to his car accident. He has scored 52.5 or more fantasy point in 7 of his last 8 games. The Timberwolves are also dealing with some injures. Last game they were without point guards Jeff Teague and Derricks Rose, and also without shooting guard Andrew Wiggins. Towns already has an incredible 33.05 percent usage rate and if any of them were to miss he could in an increase in usage. I will have plenty of Towns exposure in my lineups on Thursday because he has an awesome matchup and will go under owned due to his opponent!

If you aren't sold on Towns' matchup or are scared off of his price, there is another great center play on this slate. The Lakers are another team who is awful against the center position, they rank 27th vs the position. The Toronto Raptors will be hosting the Los Angeles Lakers and their starting center on Thursday will be Marc Gasol. The Raptors will be thin in the front court, as Serge Ibaka has been suspended three games for his role in the fight against the Cavaliers on Monday. Head Coach Nick Nurse said that Gasol will play “heavy minutes." Gasol has seen 30+ minutes twice since being traded to the Raptors, and in those two games he has scored 38.1 and 44.6 fantasy points. FanDuel rose Gasol's price to $6,500 anticipating more minutes for the big man, but that price is not high enough in this awesome matchup. I believe Gasol is also blowout risk due to the Raptors injuries, so the 10 point spread aganist the Lakers doesn't scare me off of Gasol.

The Boston Celtics will be hosting the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. The Kings are one of the worst teams against the point guard position, as they rank 27th vs the position. This means we should have exposure to Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving. In this matchup Kyrie normally would have a large amount of ownership, but like Marc Gasol, FanDuel rose Kyrie's price. They rose his price to $9,900, so this should limit his ownership. Kyrie has been on a tear lately scoring 35 or more fantasy points in 8 of his last 9 games since coming back from injury. In the past, Kyrie's fantasy output relied on his shot falling, but this year he is averaging career highs in points, rebounds and assists. He has a high floor, but has the upside to win you a large field tournament. This game having a 7 point spread and Kyrie's elevated price will lower his ownership, which makes him one of my favorite tournament plays on the slate. If the Kings can keep this game closer than the spread implies, I can see Kyrie scoring 50+ and being one of the top scorers on the slate.

As I said above, the Timberwolves are dealing with injuries to their top two point guards. We need to keep an eye on their injury news because both Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose are questionable for Thursday's game. If they are both held out again, Tyus Jones will start, and become a must play in all formats. The Timberwolves were blown out by the Nuggets on Tuesday, so Jones only played 26 minutes, but he still averaged more than a fantasy point per minute with 27.9 fantasy points. Jones doesn't have the greatest matchup as the Utah Jazz rank 15th vs the point guard position, but if this game stays close, as the 5 point spread implies, Jones could score 30+ and crush value at his $4,400 price tag! I want to reiterate, Jones will only be in my lineups if both Teague and Rose are out, and if they are held out, Jones will be in all of my cash lineups and most of my GPP lineups.

I am predicting that the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics will have the highest over/under on the slate. We currently do not have that games over/under because Kings power forward Marvin Bagley has been upgraded to questionable. If Bagley is in fact ruled out, we should have a fair amount of exposure to small forward Nemanja Bjelica. He's scored 20+ in 4 straight games while playing 20+ minutes in each of those games. He is versatile and contributes in all categories, so anytime he will get the playing time he has a solid floor. He is a great cash option, but also a fantastic tournament play because he doesn't have the greatest matchup and that will limit his ownership. The Celtics are one of the top teams in terms of defensive rating, and also rank 7th vs the small forward position. We are projecting him to play 29 minutes and score 29.17 fantasy points, at his $5,200 price tag he would almost 6x his price!

I gave you some of my favorite tournament plays, who I believe will be lower owned due to matchup and/or price. Keep an eye on the injury report as that could create a lot of value on this slate. Who are your favorite studs on Thursday's slate? Let's win big…together!
