DraftKings & Fanduel NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: DFS Lineups 3/17/19

Happy St. Patricks's Day! Hopefully the luck of the Irish brings you winnings today! All of the games have higher spreads on Saturday, so the winning lineups may be a game stack of whichever game stays the closest. What is the first question we ask ourselves when breaking down a slate? “Are the Atlanta Hawks playing?" Yes they are, and they are my favorite team to stack against because of their extremely high pace and how they play little to no defense at all. I will have a lot of exposure to the Orlando Magic today.

DK Salary: $5,100 / FD Salary: $4,900

The Atlanta Hawks are bottom three in the league in terms of defensive rating and are awful against all positions in terms of DVP. Meaning everyone on the Orlando Magic is in play. The Hawks rank dead last against the point guard position in terms of DVP, so my favorite point per dollar play on the Magic is point guard D.J Augustin. He gives us a solid minutes floor, on the season he is averaging 27.7 minutes a game, but has seen an uptick in minutes as of lately. He has played 28 or more minutes in 5 of his last 6 games. We are projecting him to play 29 minutes and to 5x his salary of $4,900 and score 26.61 fantasy points. This game has a 7.5 point spread so it may turn into a blow out, but if we get Augustin at 30+ minutes he could score 35+ fantast points and be a crucial part of your winning lineups. We also have the rare case of a player being cheaper on FanDuel than DraftKings and we should always take advantage of this situation.

DK Salary: $7,000 / FD Salary: $6,700

I will have plenty of exposure to the Hawks/Magic game, but the game with the highest over/under is the Chicago Bulls vs the Sacramento Kings game at 232 points. The Kings also have the highest team total at 119.25 so we want plenty of exposure to them as well. The Bulls rank 20^th vs the shooting guard position, making Buddy Hield my favorite play on the Kings. He is underpriced at $6,700 on FanDuel in this terrific matchup. Just like Augustin his FanDuel price is lower than his DraftKings price and he will be highly owned in my FanDuel lineups. On the season he is averaging 32.1 minutes per game but head coach Dave Joerger has given him more run lately. Hield is another player we are projecting to crush his value with a projection of 36.91 fantasy points, which would almost 6x his salary.

DK Salary: $6,700 / FD Salary: $8,100

I will have plenty of lineups with Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young as that game will be extremely high scoring. I believe Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni wants to rest his stars down the stretch. He rested point guard Chris Paul their last game and now we have to keep an eye on the Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden. He is currently questionable to play on Sunday as he has a cervical strain. If he is ruled out, we have to have plenty exposure to Chris Paul. The last time James Harden missed a game was February 23^rd against the Golden State Warriors. Paul led the shorthanded Rockets to the win against the defending champs and scored 55.5 fantasy points. Harden easily has the highest usage rate at 41.2 percent, and Paul will absorb most of that in this matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This game currently doesn't have a spread. If James Harden were to play, I can see it be around 8 points, but if Harden sits it could be around a 4 point spread. Chris Paul is in a tightly contested game, being the main facilitator of the Rockets offense. He is a must play!

DK Salary: $9,200 / FD Salary: $10,000

For my last pick we are going back to picking on the Atlanta Hawks with the Orlando Magic's center Nikola Vucevic. In terms of DVP, the Hawks are better against the center position but they still rank 19^th vs the position. Vucevic isn't just another center, the Magic run their offense through him, giving him a 27.16 percent usage rate. Vucevic is a great cash game play as he is averaging 45 fantasy points per game, and in this up pace game we are projecting him to score 51.70 fantasy points. Normally teams against the Hawks have high ownership but I believe the Magic's ownership will be lower than usual because this game has the highest point spread at 7.5 points. If the Hawks can keep this game close we could see Vucevic score 60 fantasy points and end up being the highest scorer on the slate!

On this main slate I believe game stacking will win all the money, so pick your favorite games and stack them 3 or 4 different ways. I gave you two awesome FanDuel under priced plays in great matchups who you should have a lot of exposure to. Keep an eye on the James Harden news, as that will change the whole slate.
