Happy Monday everyone, let's start this week off right! Sunday didn't treat us very nicely as Reggie Jackson flopped against the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets blew out the New Orleans Pelicans so James Harden didn't quite score what we hoped he would. But that is the beauty of daily fantasy, it is daily so let's shake Sunday off and start this week winning!

We are going right back to the well with Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard! He was a staple in our lineups last week and he will be here on Monday to start off the week! The Trailblazers will be hosting the Brooklyn Nets and this game has a 225.5 game total, that is by far the highest on the slate. This is a game we want to have plenty exposure to Monday. The Trailblazers are tied with the Utah Jazz for the highest implied team total at 116, that is the reason why I love Damian Lillard, he will be a huge contributor to their high team total. The Trailblazers will be without C.J. McCollum for the 4th straight game and Lillard sees a huge increase in usage rate. In the three game McCollum has been out Lillard has scored 44.7, 62, and 60.9 fantasy points. The Nets rank 12th vs the point guard position, so Lillard in high scoring game has a solid match, and will see a higher than normal usage rate. He could end up scoring 55+ and be the top play on the slate!

As I said on Sunday's slate, we need to find the low owned player who exceeds his value in order to win large field GPP tournaments. The Memphis Grizzles shooting guard Justin Holiday has the ability to 6 or even 7X his score against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Holiday has a terrific matchup as the Thunder rank 27th vs the shooting guard position. The main reason why I like Holiday so much is because of his extremely high minutes floor. In his last 4 games he has played 28 or more minutes in every game, we usually do not see that in a $4,000 player. In this matchup, if Holiday gets hot from the field, he has the potential to score 35+ fantasy points and there isn't much more we can ask for out of our potential drop score candidate on FanDuel!

All year long we have been picking on the Nets with centers, so what are we going to do on Monday? Yep! You guessed it, pick on the Nets with a center! So, my favorite center play is the Portland Trailblazers center Jusuf Nurkic. He is a solid cash game play because of his matchup as the Nets rank 30th vs the center position but I wouldn't own him in 100 percent of my cash games because how how much his minutes fluctuate. Like Lillard, Nurkic also sees and uptick in minutes with McCollum off the court, so we will see the offense run through him when Lillard is off the court. This game currently is expected to be tightly contested as it has a 6.5 point spread. Nurkic may see 33 to 35 minutes in this game, if he does he can end up scoring 50+ fantasy points, and be the best point per dollar play on the entire slate.

On smaller slate we want to get raw points, meaning we want to take secure all the points we can get. The Phoenix Suns are dealing with many injuries and their small forward Mikal Bridges has been given all the minutes he can handle. He's played 33 or more minutes in 6 straight games, so his minutes floor is what makes him one of my favorite plays. This game is projected to be a blowout as it has a 15 point spread, but that should not scare us off of Bridges, as his minutes are secure because of all of the injuries. It would honestly help us if the Suns were to get blow out because they would take Devin Booker off the court and Bridges will get more usage. On smaller slates we want to find play “Safe" plays like we were in a cash game. Bridges also has the upside to score 35+ fantasy points and be the top value play on the slate. He is one of the safer plays on the slate, and we should have a fair amount of exposure to him.

Even though we have a small 4 game slate we have plenty of studs to choose from. I will have many different lineups builds, but most of my lineups will consist of Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic. In some of my lineups I will have both of them, and I can promise you this, I will have at least one of them in all of my lineups. Who are your favorite plays tonight? Let's win big…together!
