Yesterday was a rough day for me in my tournament lineups but we were able to cash in our cash games! I will rebound in a huge way on Sunday's 4 game slate! We have three teams on their second night of a back to back, those teams being the Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzles. All of these games have big point spreads as the smallest point spread is 9 points. The winning lineups may be a game stack of whichever game stays the closest.

There are many fantastic center plays on Sunday. We have Nikola Jokic in a great matchup against the Washington Wizards. Demarcus Cousins also has great matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. But my favorite point per dollar play at the center position is Jonas Valanciunas because he has a better DVP matchup than both Jokic and Cousins. In his time with the Toronto Raptors, Valanciunas was never stretched out in terms of minutes. This has changed with the Grizzles as they currently are dealing with a lot of injuries to their frontcourt, so he has been given all of the minutes he can handle. He has played 28 or more minutes in 4 of his last 5 games and he has been nothing short of phenomenal, scoring 37 or more fantasy points in each game. On Sunday the Grizzles will be visiting the Los Angeles Clippers in a game without a game total because the Grizzles are on a back to back but the game has the smallest point spread at 9. The Clippers rank 8th in terms of pace and the home teams usually dictate the pace so that is great for the 30th rank Grizzles in terms of pace. Valanciunas in a high paced game in a terrific matchup has the upside to score 50+ fantasy points.

The Grizzles-Clippers game may be my favorite game to stack on Sunday and my favorite play on the Clippers is power forward JaMychal Green, who will have revenge on his mind vs his old team. On Saturday the Clippers held out small forward Danilo Gallanari and Green got the start in his pace. Green played 22 minutes and scored 36 fantasy points. If Gallanari is held out on Sunday again, Green can replicate his fantasy outage from Saturday again on Sunday. The best part about Green is that he is also one of your drop score candidates as his price tag is a low $4,000. Gallanari hasn't been ruled out, so we are currently projecting Green to play 18 minutes and score 18.36 fantasy points. If Green gets the start, we can expect him to play 23 to 25 minutes and he could score us 35+ like he did on Saturday and be one of the top value plays on the slate.

This time of season we want to target teams that are playing for playoff seeding. The Charlotte Hornets vs the Golden State Warriors is one of those games. The Golden State Warriors are trying to hold off the Denver Nuggets for the number one seed in the West. One of my favorite plays on Sunday gets lost on this team full of superstars, that being shooting guard Klay Thompson. The Warriors will be hosting the Charlotte Hornets in a game with a massive 229.5 game total and a 12 point spread. Usually when a game has a 12 point spread we want to stay away, but on small slates we have to find the player who crushes his value at lower ownership. There is not a better matchup for Thompson than the one he has on Sunday. The Hornets struggle against the shooting guard as they rank 28th vs the position and they also struggle defending the three point line. Thompson has also not been in great form so some of the game log watchers will stay away from him. He has a terrific matchup and will come at lower ownership because of his current form. In this matchup he has the upside to score 40+ and be a huge contributor to your GPP winning lineups!

I will have some game stacks of the Charlotte-Golden State game, as the Charlotte Hornets are fighting to make the playoffs. My favorite play on the Hornets is none other than point guard Kemba Walker. Kemba is only a GPP option because of the blowout risk in this game. As I said above, this game has a 12 point spread but if the Hornets can keep this game close, Kemba can go “Cardiac Kemba" and drop 50+ fantasy points in this up tempo game. In this final playoff push, Kemba has played 34 or more minutes in 8 of his last 9 games which gives him an extremely high floor as this season he averages more than a fantasy point a minute. Golden State has been a juggernaut on the defensive side of the ball in the past but this year not so much. People may fade Kemba thinking that about Golden State, but Kemba has a solid matchup as they rank 15th vs the point guard position. This season Kemba has a high 32.75 percent usage rate and in this high pace game he could be the top play on the slate. He isn't a cash game play because of the blowout risk, but he has the ceiling to win you a large field tournament.

I gave you some of my favorite plays for this Sunday's slate; most of my picks are mid-tier players who may go overlooked. Who is your favorite stud on Sunday? There is a lot of blowout risk on this slate, will you be game stacking? If so, what game will be your favorite to game stack? Let's win big… together!
