FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Value Plays: 12-2-16

Hello everyone and welcome to the FanDuel and DraftKings Value Plays for tonight's 9 NBA contests on December 2nd, 2016. There are more games tonight than last night's 6 game slates and plenty of the stars are back in the pool such as Demarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard. The Warriors and Thunder are off so some of the top Point Guard options are off the board tonight.It looks to me like it will be a very tough decision making night at the center position, while also deciding which star at Small forward, if any you go with. I may be leaning on both my value picks tonight there and loading up on the big men, point guards.

LeBron James is back again today but I have zero confidence in rolling with him tonight after back to back games and a few duds for King James standards.

There are as always injuries that will need to be monitored tonight, especially with one of my value play point guards Sergio Rodriguez. Always keep tabs on them before locking your lineups and be aware new values can always pop up.

Often times plays may seem perfect here in the early am, but a scratch or rest day can open up even more fantastic value.

Keep close tabs on this all the way up to tip off and be ready to make some swaps as needed throughout the day.

Point Guard

Rajon Rondo, Chicago vs Cleveland ($5,900 FanDuel/$6,500 DraftKings)

Rondo hasn't scored less than 31 FanDuel points over his last five and put up over 35 in the same span. No line yet but the Cavs are 15th in DvP and allow 58.7 points to the position. Rondo has been piling up the minutes with 34 minutes and has a usage rate of 15.27 in Chicago.

This is a game against the champs who got embarrassed once again last night by the Clippers so I expect Rondo to step up and try to keep the humiliation tour going, or at least remain competitive.

Sergio Rodriguez, Philadelphia vs Orlando ($4,500 FD/$4,500 DraftKings)

Rodriguez will be in play 100% if injuries provide him with minutes once again. He has a usage rate of 17.59 and playing 28 minutes over his last two games. The game cancellation also gives the 76ers 3 days rest, so They should be able to run a bit tonight. With 26.9 and 25.1 FanDuel points over his last two I like Rodriguez plenty here and a minutes bump of 30+ would be nice on the Fantasy score sheets.

Shooting Guard

Danny Green, San Antonio vs Washington ($3,900 FanDuel/$4,100 DraftKings)

Dirt cheap Danny Green is ALWAYS risky. To be honest he is one of my guys I rarely play. If he has a game similar to his stretch in November where he scored over 20 FD Points 4 times he could make a very cheap GPP Option. His last four games have been putrid however, so keep that in mind. He is projected for a nice minutes bump tonight and that can help him meet value against the 22nd ranked team in DvP with Brad Beal and the Wizards. Play at your own risk, but if you are risk taker and want a low-owned guy tonight, he is your man!

J.J. Redick, Los Angeles Clippers @ New Orleans($4,300 FanDuel/$4,700 DraftKings)

Redick has a usage rate of 23 in this high powered Clippers offense. If his shots are dropping he can really quickly get Fantasy points. Over his last four games he has produced over 22 FanDuel points three times along with one huge clunker 5.9.

He is averaging 19.7 over on FanDuel on the season. Tonight he gets a team with a very good DvP of 3, so the risk is there, but with his usage and lock for minutes he should be a nice play tonight. Especially on FanDuel. Also stay tuned for Chris Paul status and if the Clippers rest some guys tonight. If so, Redick's value and minutes should uptick a bit.

Small Forward

Jae Crowder, Boston vs Sacramento ($5,300 FanDuel/$5,800 DraftKings)

The last two games Crowder's minutes have increased and so have his fantasy points. He has put up 30 + FanDuel points over his last 3 and is playing over 30 minutes a game now. Crowder can do it all and with an effective usage rate of nearly 18 I really like his spot tonight vs Sacramento who are the 22nd ranked DvP team. Crowder is worth the slightly higher cost tonight and may still be under the radar enough to be a great GPP play.

Brandon Ingram, Los Angeles @ Toronto ($4,000 FanDuel/$4,400 DraftKings)

Over 20 FanDuel Points over his last 4 and over 24 FanDuel points in that same span. Ingram is still cheap on both sites even with the minutes bump so I will continue to take advantage. His usage rate of 15.46 is also appealing against one of the better defensive teams tonight. If ingram plays 33 minutes or more he can come close or exceed 6X.

Power Forward

Ersan Ilyasova, Philadelphia vs Orlando ($ FanDuel/$4,700 DraftKings)

Ersan's minutes have been all over the map and hard to track. However when he is on the court his usage rate is very nice at 21.14. He is also averaging .96 FPPM and projected for 27 minutes for tonight. The Magic rank 26th in DvP against Power Forwards so Ily can do some work tonight if you want to go cheap at the position tonight.

If he seems to risky for your taste and you have more wiggle room Tobias Harris is another fantastic option at $5,700 on FanDuel tonight.

Center

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia vs Orlando ($6,200 FanDuel/$6,700 DraftKings)

Embiid is as safe and productive as they come. He should play 28 or more minutes tonight and even if he doesn't his usage rate of 36.99 is second to few (Westy, and Cousins for example). The Magic have been awful against the center position too ranking 27th in DvP. Embiid should be a very popular play so don't think you are tricking anyone by playing him. What you are getting is a near lock for 4X value with a much higher ceiling.
