As the season dwindles down, we have to expect the unfortunate injury reports and tank battles to hurt the safety of NBA DFS. I will repeat as the regular season goes on, be aware of late scratches, resting players, unpredictable rotations, and blowouts. That will be the case tonight as Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and Brooklyn are on the slate. Western seeding is still in the works, and games that feature Western Conference teams will usually have something to play for. As far as injuries tonight, Giannis, T.J. Warren, Hassan Whiteside, and Dwyane Wade are doubtful. Devin Booker, Jusuf Nurkic, and Lauri Markkanen are questionable tags at the moment. Keep an eye on Toronto for potentially resting people tonight.

Before I start with Middleton. I do want to mention a few of the obvious high upside plays in the top price tier. Steph Curry should post an insane usage without Green, Thompson, and Durant against the Hawks. LeBron James can do no wrong right now, and a matchup against the Suns won't stop him.

With Giannis on the doubtful side tonight, we are going to see a ton of usage open up for Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, and Jabari Parker. All three are viable GPP options, and playable in cash games of course. Ownership is not something I am worried about tonight. If you are looking at leverage plays, Victor Oladipo and Bradley Beal will be much lower owned. I can't shake the idea of fading Middleton tonight in GPPs. He sees a 28% usage rate with Giannis off the floor, and Bledsoe/Parker on. He averages 1.10 FPPM, while Bledsoe and Parker are over 1.15. Middleton is shooting 56% from the field and 59% from three over the last five games. Against a Chicago defense, I will expect the hot shooting to continue.

With Hassan Whiteside expected to miss tonight's game, this opens up the door for another opposing center to have a big game. Over the last ten games, Miami is allowing the 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing centers, and the 2nd most over the last five games. Miami drops in rebounding and defense with Whiteside off the floor, which is going to help OKC tonight. Over the last ten games, Miami is allowing 4.5 offensive boards to opposing centers, and 24.2 points per game. This bodes well for a cheaper Steven Adams that will be overlooked tonight. Over the last five games, Adams is averaging 31 fantasy points per game.

Jayson Tatum isn't necessarily getting the love for boasting a 23% usage rate and averaging 34 fantasy points per game over the last five. With the Celtics still limited offensively with injuries, we have seen Tatum play the two. Portland ranks 16th in defensive efficiency over the last ten games against SG, and are middle of the field in fantasy points allowed. Averaging 14 shot attempts per game over the last four and shooting 50% from the field, Tatum has a solid floor and ceiling if the peripheral stats can follow the scoring. Still at a fair price tag, Tatum should get lost in this $6,000 range.

Denver has struggled against opposing PF this season, ranking 24th in defensive efficiency, and 28th over the last ten games. Fantasy points have come as well, as they allow the 7th most this season, and 6th most over the last ten. Markieff Morris has seen a 20% usage rate over the last ten games, and is averaging 28 fantasy points per game. He is a bit volatile of late, but this is a game I want to get exposure to, and Morris is fairly cheap. Being below $6,000 and near below $5,000 on DK, Morris has 30+ fantasy point upside and can be a huge points per dollar play.
