After last night's three game slate, we have our big boy pants on now. Stephen Curry and Andre Drummond were the big scorers yesterday, while Marcus Morris and Dennis Schroder surpassed value big time. Anthony Davis laid down a dud, but probably didn't hurt you too bad. We have a monster 14 game slate, and some monster tournaments around the industry.
Projections show DraftKings fantasy points.
Vegas Notes
- Rockets-Nuggets holds the highest total tonight, with the Rockets being the highest projected scoring team, and are favored by 10.5 points.
- Clippers-Kings hold the second highest total, and as long as this game stays competitive, there are a lot of big names that could be in for big nights.
- Despite a 198 total for Celtics-76ers, Boston is projected to score over 100 points, being 11.5 point favorites. Minutes could be tricky to track here early with Brad Stevens and his new players.
- Grizzlies-Cavs feature the lowest total of the night. With Memphis' slow pace of play, and the Cavs on the second night of a back-to-back, look elsewhere.
GPP Picks
Eric Bledsoe (SG), Suns
Opponent | Minutes | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Defensive Efficiency Rating | Usage Rate | Opposing Fantasy Points Allowed | Vegas Team Total | Projection |
Mavericks | 35 | 1.00 | 19.6 | 23.7 | 37.0 | 104 | 35.0 |
Salary: FD: $7,300 DK: $7,800
James Harden is without a doubt the top option at shooting guard tonight, and he is an elite play in all formats. If you are trying to build a more balanced lineup, look the way of Eric Bledsoe. He doesn't have the ceiling Harden has, but this is a guy who can go 35-40+ fantasy points on any given night. He is a discount from Harden, and has a great matchup. Dallas was subpar against guards last season, and lost Monta Ellis in the offseason. Phoenix will run their offense through Brandon Knight and Bledsoe, and both are locks to see 30+ minutes tonight, as I can't say the same for the other Suns' players.
Paul George (SF), Pacers
Opponent | Minutes | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Defensive Efficiency Rating | Usage Rate | Opposing Fantasy Points Allowed | Vegas Team Total | Projection |
@Raptors | 35 | 1.02 | 18.9 | 32.8 | 33.7 | 96 | 35.7 |
Salary: FD: $8,500 DK: $8,000
Paul George is finally healthy, and this is an offense that is expected to take a jump in pace. George is playing a stretch four role, and this is his offense still. He should fly under the radar, as SF has some cheaper options to target, but George still carries phenomenal upside. Toronto is a decent defensive unit, but if I can count on anyone to get theirs, it is George. He was shooting nearly 40% from three in preseason, and has been working on his mid-range shooting as well. George also can tack on a few blocks+steals, which adds to his upside tonight.
