Vegas Notes

- As we've seen for much of the season, we have a full slate on a Monday, with tonight hosting 11 games.

- The biggest total of the night belongs to Kings-Warriors (220), but the Warriors are listed as 13-point favorites at home.

- Nets-Heat (194, -9) owns the lowest total as of this morning with the total in the 76ers-Jazz game still pending.

- A few more enticing totals/spreads belong to Pelicans-Magic (203.5, -4), Hawks-Pacers (205.5, -2), and Clippers-Wizards (206.5, -1.5).

- Aside from the Warriors game, there are a few more blowout concerns: Timberwolves-Spurs (195.5, -15), and Lakers-Hornets (201.5, -12.5).

While I don't think he is a cash game necessity on this big slate, Davis is the player I'll be paying up for tonight in most spots. Orlando is a middle-of-the-pack rebounding team, but are allowing the 11th-most FP to opposing PF this season. This game has one of the few totals over 200 with a spread of less than 5, so Vegas expects it to be a close one. "The Brow" has exceeded 43 FP in 7 of his last 8 games, including 4 with 50+. Whether you love him or constantly insult the man on Twitter, he needs to be considered as a top option tonight.

Salary: FD (PF): $8,900 DK (C): $7,600

Gasol has been a fantastic PPM producer this season, and the only drawback has been his minutes. With Joakim Noah on the shelf, he has now played 38 minutes in back-to-back games, totaling 91.50 DK points in those two contests. Tonight he faces off against a Raptors team that is allowing the 5th-most FP to opposing C over the last 5 games. While Gasol's price is much more manageable on DK, I don't mind him in GPPs on FD. As far as cash games go though, he's off limits for me on FD due to his high price and plenty of value PF on the board. He's a full go for me on DK at the C position at this price in all formats.

Salary: FD: $9,000 DK: $9,000

Paul has finally rounded into form, and has now eclipsed the 40 FP in 8 consecutive contests. With the unfortunate injury to Blake Griffin, Paul will have to shoulder more of the load for the Clippers, and his matchup against John Wall isn't ideal, but the Clippers will rely on Paul in a bigger way with Griffin off the floor. Paul has at least 10 assists in 7 of his last 10 games, so the double-double bonus on DK is in play as well. This game has the closest spread on the slate at 1.5, and the second-highest total as well at 206.5.

Salary: FD: $8,900 DK: $8,900

Yes, George has struggled on offense recently, shooting just 21/71 over his last 4 games, but he still provides you with a high floor due to his contributions in other categories. He has faced some tough matchups, but tonight shapes up as a solid one. The Hawks have taken a step back defensively this season, and rank 29th in the NBA in team rebounding differential. If George can find his stroke from the field, he has massive upside in this matchup. There are plenty of viable options at SF for cheaper, so paying down is a viable strategy, but I like George as the top option once again.

Projection

vs TOR

371.0016.523.937.39937

Salary: FD: $8,500 DK: $7,500

Once again, Butler comes in at a nice discount on DK compared to FD. He's a near lock for me on DK at this price due to the fact that he contributes across the board and plays monster minutes. He is averaging just over 37 DK points per contest, and has reached that plateau in 8 of his last 10 games. Tonight's matchup against DeMar DeRozan and the Raptors is less than ideal for most players, but Butler is an exception due to his versatility and ability to contribute in all categories.

Value Plays

Omri Casspi (SF - SAC) FD: $5,100 DK: $5,900

Once again, Casspi's price has continued to rise on DK, but he continues to produce. He is coming off another solid game last night, and now has at least 32 DK points in 4 of his last 6 games. If you aren't paying up, he's a viable option in the midrange at SF tonight.

Chandler Parsons (SF - DAL) FD: $4,500 DK: $5,200

Parsons is finally off his minutes restriction, and is producing at a very high level. He has produced at least 33 DK points in 3 of 4 contests. Tonight's matchup against Milwaukee's poor team defense that ranks 27th in the NBA only raises his floor and ceiling. I'll continue to take advantage of his low price tag in this spot.

Ish Smith (PG - PHI) FD: $4,500 DK: $4,800

Ish produced 27 FP in 31 minutes in his 76ers debut this season, and looks to be an integral part of the offense moving forward. Utah has struggled at times on defense with Rudy Gobert out, and haven't defended the PG position well recently, allowing the 8th-most FP per game over their last 5 contests.

Taj Gibson (PF - CHI) FD: $4,700 DK: $5,300

With Noah out, Gibson continues to produce at a high level, posting totals of 28.75, 33.5, and 23 while playing just over 33 minutes per game over the last three games. He is one of the top values on the board once again, and I'll be rostering him in all formats.

I am all over Parsons tonight.

Same here Zach, he's just way too cheap. Gotta take advantage while we can!
