Vegas Notes

- Thunder-Bucks is the only blowout concern tonight. (-13.5) We did see a similar line with the Thunder-Nuggets just the other night, yet Denver kept it close. On a short slate, I am not writing off this game due to a possible blowout.

- Hawks-Rockets is your best game for offense tonight. There is a 208 total, and Houston is favored by just three.

- Miami is your lowest projected scoring team tonight, with just a 92 team total. Wade might sit as well, and Vegas might already be anticipating that.

Paul Millsap is one of my favorite plays on tonight's slate, and the safest power forward I feel using. He is averaging 18-3-7 in the last six games, with 2.2 steals per game. Millsap adds to his floor defensively, generating about three steals+blocks per game this season. Houston is allowing the 2nd most fantasy points per game to opposing PF, and the second highest FG%. Millsap is in the best spot matchup wise among power forwards tonight, in the highest Vegas total game. He is averaging about 38 fantasy points per game in the last six, and look for him to continue tonight.

Kevin Durant is your obvious SF play tonight, but Jeff Green is going to be a staple in my cash games. Matt Barnes is suspended tonight, so Jeff Green will see a few extra minutes in the starting rotation tonight. He is shooting 50% in the last six games, averaging 11-2-6. The matchups within this game are not ideal on both sides, but on a five game slate, we are a bit forced to take value plays here. Green is going to be locked into big minutes, and is one of the better scorers on this team.

I fear fading Russell Westbrook tonight, and you should as well. He is averaging 25-9-6 in the last five games, with 2.6 steals per game. Even though this game has blowout potential, Westy is one of the best fantasy points per minute plays. His 34% usage rate is tops on the slate, and even if he plays 28-30 minutes, he will likely still give you a 40 fantasy point floor. Milwaukee has been better than average defending point guards this season, but Westbrook is matchup proof. Oklahoma City has the highest team total on the slate, so I will be starting my lineups off with Westbrook.

Salary: FD: $6,800 DK: $6,900

Denver's best player has been Will Barton. Even with James Harden on the slate, I am looking a bit cheaper. Harden has not been delivering 50+ fantasy point games at a consistent rate, which is something I want from someone over $10,000. Barton is averaging 21-4-7 in the last six games, shooting 47% from the field. Cleveland has looked drained over the last few games, and it could be the hectic west coast trip they are on. Vegas believes this game will stay close, and even though Denver's team total is fairly low, it will not stop me from rostering Barton.

Projection

@Knicks

351.3227.824.847.510046.2

Salary: FD: $9,700 DK: $9,400

Andre Drummond is playing like a man possessed this season, averaging 18 and 16, shooting 51% from the field. Drummond is coming off of a 22 and 22 game against the Celtics, a good defensive team. Over the last ten games, New York is allowing the 8th most fantasy points to opposing centers. The Knicks have a zero rebound differential, meaning they are as average as it can get. Drummond has averaged 3.8 blocks+steals in the last four games, and is known for picking up a few defensive stats to go with his offensive game. No other center delivers the floor Drummond has.

Value Plays

Tristan Thompson (PF - CLE) FD: $4,600 DK: $5,000

Tristan Thompson has received a bump in minutes, and is now starting at the five. He is not going to be featured in the offense, so do not expect 15-20 real points. When he received starter's minutes earlier this season, he hovered around 8 and 12. Solid numbers from a guy with his sort of price tag. Denver has allowed the 11th most fantasy points per game this season.

Jerryd Bayless (PG - MIL) FD: $4,600 DK: $4,900

First things first, I prefer going with Jeff Teague as my value point guard, but if you need the extra $1,500, Jerryd Bayless came back into bigger minutes on his return last night. He went 19-7-2 in 26 minutes. The minutes situation seems a bit clearer, which is MCW and him will likely split time. It is unfortunate for MCW who was playing well, but the Bucks' coaching staff has made it clear they like Bayless running the offense.

Kent Bazemore (SG/SF - ATL) FD: $5,400 DK: $5,300

Kent Bazemore has been sneaky consistent of late, averaging 25 fantasy points per game in the last six games. He is seeing just above 30 minutes per game, averaging 10-3-6. Houston's defense has been poor this season, allowing the third most fantasy points per game to opposing SF. Bazemore is one of my favorite mid-value plays tonight.

Nice write up. Im also big on Drummond and Teague tonight.

Love Thompson now that he is starting. He is a rebounding machine just like Drummond.

Thanks @youngcatx21, just hoping Teague can play in that 34 minute range. Every now and then he plays under 30 minutes. @zachsgotmoxy I could see him putting up big numbers on the boards tonight.
