Vegas Notes

- Lots of high totals tonight - TrailBlazers-Warriors, Celtics-Rockets, Timberwolves-Thunder, Nets-76ers, and Kings-Magic are really the five games I am truly eyeing tonight. All sit with totals over 210.

- Washington-Utah is the only game below 200, and is a game off my radar in cash.

- Blowout concerns, Warriors -12.5, Thunder -12.5, and Clippers -10.

Jrue Holiday has back-to-back 50 fantasy point outings, as the Pelicans' backcourt continues to be decimated with injuries. Norris Cole is doubtful again, and Holiday will pick up all he can handle. This will continue tonight against a depleted Memphis squad. Holiday is averaging 21-3-7 over the last five games, and his usage rate is 29.3% on average over the last five games. He remains a solid play tonight, even at his heightened price tag.

Salary: FD: $7,000 DK: $7,200

Over the last ten games, Victor Oladipo is averaging 35 fantasy points per game, going 18-6-3, with 1.8 steals per game. Shooting guards against Sacramento have been the way of the world for some time. They rank 29th in defensive efficiency, and have allowed the second most fantasy points per game. With James Harden in a tougher matchup, I love Oladipo in all formats. With Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic ruled out, look for most of the offense, if not all, to flow through Oladipo of some sort. He is my favorite SG option in all formats.

Magic

370.9320.122.239.910934.4

Salary: FD: $6,700 DK: $6,000

Rudy Gay is going to be one of the more popular plays on the board tonight. DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for tonight's game, and Gay becomes a go-to guy for the Kings now. In nine games without Cousins this season, Gay has averaged 18-7-2, with a 28.9% usage rate. He has a 21.3% usage rate with Cousins on the court. Orlando is an average matchup for opposing small forwards, ranking 14th in defensive efficiency, and have allowed the 15th most fantasy points per game. Below $7,000 on both sites, Gay is a tremendous value.

@76ers

370.9824.521.950.110636.2

Salary: FD: $6,800 DK: $6,600

Nets-76ers is a battle of two of the league's worst defenses, which means fantasy points will be here for plenty. Thaddeus Young is averaging 14-8-2 over the last four games, and will get a juicy matchup against Philly. They have allowed the second most fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards, and rank 30th in rebounding. Young has averaged 38 fantasy points in two games against Philly this season, and he has upside even higher for me. He is solid in all formats.

Hassan Whiteside (C), Heat

Projection

@Bulls

331.3128.720.051.810243.2

Salary: FD: $8,700 DK: $8,200

Hassan Whiteside is a great play in all formats, and even when he plays less than 30 minutes, he surpasses value. Whiteside is averaging 17 and 13 over the last six games, with 4.5 blocks + steals per game. Chicago ranks 25th in defensive efficiency, and have allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. They also have allowed the eight most blocks per game to opposing centers. Whiteside has shown consistency for cash games, and we sure as hell know the upside is there. I don't see how Chicago contains him down low, and also they are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Value Plays

Darren Collison (PG - SAC) FD: $5,300 DK: $4,800

Darren Collison is logging starter's minutes right now, averaging 32 over the last six games. He will see increased minutes at the two and the three tonight given the state of the game. He is averaging 12-2-3 over the last six games, which is right around 25 points a game. He is an excellent value play in all formats. Orlando possesses a middle of the road defensive efficiency against opposing PG and SG.

Avery Bradley (SG - BOS) FD: $5,200 DK: $4,700

This Boston-Houston game is going to be a lot of fun, and you can make a pivot off of the popular shooting guard play here with Avery Bradley, who is in fact in a better matchup. Houston has allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards, and rank 20th in defensive efficiency. Bradley's consistency has been pretty average of late, registering 23 fantasy points per game in the last five. I will be looking for a little more out of him tonight. Evan Turner is also a play to consider if you have the few extra dollars.

Kosta Koufos (C - SAC) FD: $3,500 DK: $3,000

With DeMarcus Cousins suspended tonight, Kosta Koufos will likely draw the start here, and is bare-min. In nine games with Cousins out this season, he has played 27 minutes on average, going 11 and 8, with 2.0 blocks + steals per game. He will be dealing with a backup center in Orlando, and should be able to come out on top. For bare-minimum price, I like him where you can slot in two centers.
