Vegas Notes

- Houston-Philadelphia has the highest total on the night (219), with a 9 point spread. This is a great game to target alongside, Cleveland-Sacramento (216) and Clippers-Thunder (217).

- Warriors are favored by 13 against the Jazz. There is some blowout concern here, so limit yourself a bit. I wouldn't play too many of these guys.

- Miami-Milwaukee has the lowest total of the night at 203, but there are some nice plays from this game.

I like Russell Westbrook a lot, but I'm looking at the guy who will be going up against him -- Chris Paul !

Chris Paul has an excellent matchup going up against Russell Westbrook tonight. The Thunder have allowed the 5th most fantasy points to opposing point guards. They have also allowed an average of 23.4 points per game to opposing point guards (4th highest in NBA). CP3 has had a lot of success against the Thunder this season. In two meetings against them, he is averaging 26.5 points, 11.5 assist and 4.5 rebounds, which is equivalent to 55 fantasy points. And don't forget, you can save ($1,000 on DK) and ($600 on FD) by going with Chris Paul instead of Russell Westbrook.

Don't get me wrong -- I love James Harden tonight, but I didn't want to list all the obvious cash plays, so I'm giving you another option, and that is -- Dwayne Wade. D-Wade has been on an absolute tear it up as of late. In his last six games, he is averaging 22.3 points, 5 assists and 4.8 rebounds, which is equivalent for 38 fantasy points. And he will be going up against the Bucks tonight, who have allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards on the year. The 34-year-old is always a great cash play and is at a very reasonable price tonight.

Salary: FD: $6,100 DK: $6,000

Luol Deng will be going up against the Bucks, which makes him a very intriguing play. He has been getting a lot of minutes at the power forward position, and that is the position that the Bucks have had the most trouble defending. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to opposing power forwards on the year. They have also allowed an average of 22.3 points per game to opposing power forwards (2nd highest in NBA). The matchup is there for Deng and he is coming into this contest hitting at least 30 fantasy points in seven out of his last ten games.

Yes Durant, LeBron and Giannis are great plays, but Deng is an excellent option, if you want to spend up at a different position.

Anthony Davis will be carrying the load on offense for the Pelicans and is a great play tonight going up against the Hornets. The Hornets have allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing power forwards on the year. Davis in his last two games has taken a total of 52 shots! That is a whole lot of shots and is a guy that could easily hit value with all of those shots he is taking. He has hit over 50 fantasy points in his last two games, so get him before his price goes up and it's too late.

Projection

@Mavericks

321.2728.222.947.6101.2540.64

Salary: FD: $8,500 DK: $7,600

The matchup might not be the most appealing one going up against Dallas, but I love me some Drummond tonight! He has such a nice price tag (especially on DK), so it was very difficult for me not to mention him. The Mavericks have defended centers great all season long, but in there last five games, they have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing big men. This could be a fluke, or the fact that Lee is playing more minutes, but either way I think Drummond is a great play. He has hit at least 40 fantasy points in three out of his last four games. He is also one of the best centers in the league, and has the most upside among all the centers on the slate. He is worth the investment!

Value Plays

Arron Afflalo (SG - NYK) FD: $5,000 DK: $4,600

Afflalo will be going up against the Suns tonight which is projected to be one of the highest-scoring games on the night. He gets a beautiful matchup against the Suns as they have given up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards. He is averaging 29.0 fantasy points in his last ten games and is a guy to roster, if you don't want to pay up for a shooting guard.

Grizzlies

The Grizzlies will be going up against the Celtics, which is one of the better defensive teams in the league, but if they are short-handed like last time, the entire Grizzlies' roster would be in play. I will breakdown each situation that could occur and who would benefit the most.

1. With Conley out: Chalmers will get all the minutes he can handle (played 40 last time Conley sat) and Lance Stephenson would get a tiny boost in minutes as well (he would be the backup point guard). Chalmers is a great play, even with the tough matchup.

2. With Zach Randolph doubtful: JaMychal Green is a great play and is expected to start at center. He would see around 30 minutes and is a guy that can fill up the stat sheet. (scored 50.5 fantasy points last time Randolph was out) Matt Barnes would get playing time at the four and Hollins would see a boost in minutes as well.

3. With Chris Anderson out: Hollins and Green will get a boost in minutes.

4. With Matt Barnes probable: Vince Carter, Lance Stephenson, P.J Hairston will see fewer minutes on the court. Stephenson is a decent cash/tourney play and Hairston as well as Carter would become riskier punt plays.
