Elite Cash Game Play

After a week off, Tom and the gang are back in action against the Cowboys. Brady has been clicking on all cylinders to start the season. He leads the NFL in passing yards per game with 370 and touchdown passes per game with 3. He has zero interceptions this year and gets a matchup against Dallas. Dallas has allowed 256 yards a game through the air and 7.1 yards per attempt. They have only forced 3 turnovers this year and have averaged 1.5 sacks a game. All of these numbers are either towards the bottom or are middle of the road in the NFL. The Cowboys do not seem like the team that can stop Brady on his mission to destroy the NFL this year.

I love Peyton's little brother in this dream matchup against the 49ers. The 49ers have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. They have allowed 9.2 yards per attempt and 263 yards per game. They have forced only 2 turnovers all season and just seem to be a team in disarray. Eli has been playing great this season with 7 touchdowns to only 1 interception. I like Manning to exceed his season average of 244 yards a game and with a team total of 25 he should be able to throw for two or more scores.

Value Cash Game Play

It is time to jump back on the roller coaster ride that is Sam Bradford and the Eagles this week against the Saints. Bradford looked exceptional last week throwing for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Saints are a great matchup. They have given up the second most fantasy points to QBs a game at 21.3 depending on the scoring. They have allowed a league worst 116.3 rating to quarterbacks and 9.8 yards per attempt. The Eagles have a high team total at 26.8. I am going to be jumping on Bradford this week at his depressed price.

Taylor disappointed last week against the Giants but is in a good spot to bounce back. The Bills are so banged up in the backfield that they almost signed Trent Richardson to play this week. They ended up passing but will be playing a combination of players that go by the names of Boobie and Boom in the backfield. Taylor is going to have to carry the Bills this week and gets a good matchup to do it against the Titans. The Titans have skewed numbers so far this year against the pass. Teams have only attempted 78 passes against them this year but those passes have gone 8.2 yards per attempt and 6 touchdowns. I think with the injuries in Buffalo this is going to be a game where the Titans secondary is tested and I like Taylor to take advantage of a team that allowed 15.9 fantasy points to QBs per game last season.

Elite GPP Plays

Peyton has been hard to pinpoint this year. Some weeks he looks great like in week 2 when he threw for 3 scores, and other weeks he has looked downright awful. I am banking on the good Peyton showing up this week against the Raiders. This is a division game that the Broncos are going to want to win and is a fantastic matchup. The Raiders have allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and have allowed 2 touchdown passes per game. They have allowed 311 passing yards per game which puts them 31st in the NFL this season. I really like Peyton in this matchup against a struggling Oakland secondary in what should be a vintage Manning game.

Philip Rivers gets a Monday night showdown against the Steelers in what should be a showcase game for him. Rivers is always forgotten when people discuss the best quarterbacks in the league. He has played spectacular to start the season. Rivers is averaging 312 yards per game and 2 scores. The Steelers have been a middle of the pack defense this season but did get torched by Tom Brady and the Patriots in week 1. If the Chargers want to win this game, it is going to fall on the throwing arm of Rivers, and I expect him to have a huge game this week.

Value GPP Plays

Famous Jameis has had flashes of greatness and looked awful at other times but is in a great spot to show off his talent this week. He gets to face a Jaguars defense that has been terrible against the pass this season. They are allowing 279 yards a game and 7.2 yards per attempt. Turnovers are where Winston struggles but they should not be a worry this week. The Jaguars struggle to intercept passes with only one on the season. Last year, they only picked off six passes all season. Despite his struggles, Winston has averaged 16.2 fantasy points a game which is better than the likes of Jay Cutler, Sam Bradford and Peyton Manning.

Alex Smith gets a date with the Chicago Bears and their porous defense this week. The Bears have allowed 10 touchdowns through the air which ranks 31st in the NFL. They are allowing 7.3 yards per attempt and 17.8 fantasy points a game. The most important stat for Alex Smith is the Bears have only averaged 1.5 sacks a game. This bodes well for Smith who has been sacked a league high 19 times this season. I think Smith is able to add to his 4 touchdown passes this week and should be able to match his season average of 277 passing yards a game.
