We are looking ahead at Week 16 to find the elite matchups for wide receivers against corners. Using Pro Football Focus's ratings as a base, we are able to get an advanced look at what matchups we can take advantage of. Defense against opposing WR's is grabbed from FootballOutsiders. They matchups are broken down into the top tier matchups, middle tier matchups, and matchups to possibly fade. Now the opposing cornerback may not always be on the highlighted receiver, but this is a look at who the highlighted receiver will likely see most of the game. Not every number one cornerback covers the opposing team's wide receiver. They usually stay on their side of the field, and on occasion can shadow a number one. I will continue to edit it during the week, if there is given news of a switch in matchups. Blown coverage equals great matchups, zone coverages suggest they are toss-ups, and lockdown coverage is pretty self explanatory. Premium access grants you the full article.

Detroit is a contrarian way to go this week, taking on a Cincinnati defense that has given up on the season. They are also dealing with some injuries, which has put them in a further hole on the defensive side. Golden Tate is someone to consider if you are building multiple lineups this week. KeiVarae Russell has only played limited snaps, but has allowed 0.48 F/R this season.

Devin Funchess was banged up last week, and is in the same boat heading into Week 16. We saw Greg Olsen emerge again as a target for Cam Newton. This is an excellent spot if Funchess is 100%. Ryan Smith has allowed a whopping 0.41 F/R on 319 routes covered this season.

A few cheap targets this week who might see a rise in targets as well are Tyrell Williams and Keelan Cole. Williams would see a bump if Keenan Allen sits, but with Hunter Henry on the shelf, there is a handful of targets to go around. Juston Burris has allowed 0.38 F/R this season. Speaking of Keenan Allen, he is in a good spot as Buster Skrine allows 0.31 F/R this season. With Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns looking doubtful for this week, both Cole and Dede Westbrook sit in good spots. Both corners are allowing over 0.30 F/R this season.
