Both of the Week 2 Optimal Lineups were on a similar core between sites. FanDuel went a little heavier on the Atlanta game, but it was on the passing game which didn't light the world on fire, but was good enough to hit their value. Ty Montgomery, Bucs Defense, Kareem Hunt, and Zach Ertz were some of the other feature plays. I am digging the lineups this week, and I am not saying that because I work here, so lets get into it. Derek Carr heads on the road to Washington, who rank 20th against the pass here early on. They have faced Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. That isn't a knock against them, but this Oakland offense is built to put up points. Carr is throwing a clean pocket a majority of the time, and has three weapons at his disposal. Naked Carr, and by that I mean just him and no weapons is an solid way to go, given trying to figure out the Cooper/Crabtree weeks can be tough. Carr is also on the cheaper side, about $800 less than Brady/Rodgers.
This RB combo can combine for about 50 touches, and maybe room for a little more. Le'Veon Bell saw a full workload last week in a tough Minnesota matchup, and gets the Bears, who rank 15th against the run so far this season. Game flow should setup well for Bell, even though he is essentially game flow proof. After two quiet weeks, expect Bell to blow things open. Montgomery still isn't expensive enough for his workload, and the Bengals have allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs this season.
Oh, A.J. Green, how cheap you are. Green Bay is bottom five against WR1s, and volume should be 10+ targets this week. Cincinnati has yet to score a touchdown this season, which means Green has a reason to be this cheap, except he really shouldn't with his upside. I am on board with the Green train this week. Keenan Allen draws a really good spot this week against a Kansas City secondary that is not what it once was. This defense has its holes, and Allen can exploit them. Targets continue to be consistent when Allen is healthy, Stefon Diggs is someone who is downgraded because of the Sam Bradford news, but at $6,500 I don't mind taking a shot. In cash? Probably not.
Eric Ebron is a top three tight end for me this week, in a potential shootout against Detroit. Atlanta was bottom ten in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends last season. I will continue to attack with what I have seen throughout the first few games. Graham Gano is a home favorite with a high total. That is essential for kickers. Philadelphia is a cheap defense this week, who gets a battered New York line, and turnover prone Giants team who come on the road. I am in.
