Week in and week out we are diving into the best value plays at various positions. Each week always plays out differently, especially when deciding what areas to spend down on, and where to spend up. While many articles point out the top values, we hope to guide you in lineup construction as well. Pricing on FanDuel generally ties into fantasy point outcome, where on DraftKings, matchups and ownership are baked into the algorithm a little more. Injuries, seasonal changes, and matchups all create value, and here at DFC we break that down for you. Our content is focused on the Main Slates, but you can find me answering questions in the comments, or on Twitter at @JGuilbault11. Premium access grants full list of value plays.

Philip Rivers comes in as our eighth highest projected quarterback this week, and comes first in Cafe Value. Yet, he is priced as QB15 on FD this week, which doesn't make a lot of sense against this Oakland defense, that ranks 15th in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks, and ranks 30th in DVOA against the pass. Rumors are Philip Rivers could get Mike Williams this week, although I wouldn't expect him to make a big splash just yet. Rivers is coming off some strong weeks against two NFC East opponents, at New York, and home against Philadelphia. He has nine passing touchdowns on the season, and has thrown for 250+ yards in three of five games this season. At Denver and home against Kansas City were the two games he did not throw for 250+ yards. He also has been over 35 passing attempts in four of the five games, topping 40 in two of the four. Rivers is an excellent value against Oakland this week, for only $7,200. Rivers threw for six touchdowns and 656 passing yards against Oakland last season. He has a floor of about 18 FD points in this matchup, and a 25+ FD point ceiling. Strong value if you need the extra few hundred savings, because Deshaun Watson is going to be the popular play in this mid-range.
