Correlations are very relevant in NFL DFS, as we like to pair up quarterbacks with their top receiving options. While the running back and defense stack is not as high of an upside stack as using a passing game, it is still viable with the right plays around it, and still brings a small correlation of upside. Game stacks can often be overlooked, but why wouldn't you want exposure to the team trying to keep up or chasing your favorite passing offense? There are ways to be contrarian by still targeting a top offense projected with higher ownership. Shifting from the popular WR1 to a WR2, TE, or even RB is going to help you get exposure at slightly less ownership. WR1, RB1, WR2, and TE1 in that order stand the highest chances of generating the most fantasy points in a stack. This is at least for two man stacks. We will dive into more multiplayer stacks below. Volume, Vegas, opposing defensive stats, pace, and pricing are all calculated into my stacks below. You will find my top, value, contrarian, and game stacks within the article. Houston Texans

DeShaun WatsonQB$7,800$6,600
Will FullerWR$6,100$5,900
Brandin CooksWR$5,300$4,500

There are a lot of stacks this week. Seattle is certainly one that I won't mention anymore as Wilson-Lockett-Metcalf are just an obvious stack. So I am going to bold this section to point out the obvious. Dallas is also a great stack, as is Baltimore. Okay, let's start with Houston. It is their first matchup that I actually want to use them in, as they have had tough matchups against the Steelers, Ravens, and Chiefs over the first three weeks. This is finally a good matchup for Houston but some news has shaken my ability to stack this how I want. Fuller landed on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury. Shocker. If Fuller sits or is looking iffy, I will shift towards Jordan Akins and David Johnson more as a third option in addition to Cooks.

Minnesota's defense is one I want to target heavily. The secondary is banged up and even at full health they are a defense I want to target. There is no pass rush and the front seven has been struggling with injuries. The Vikings have allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season and also don't have much defense against tight ends either. The run defense for Minnesota has been a disaster this season, and have allowed the 9th most fantasy points to running backs. All this is strictly on the ground too, with 408 yards allowed and four scores.

Cincinnati Bengals

PlayerPositionFanDuel PriceDraftKings Price
Joe BurrowQB$7,400$6,300
Tyler BoydWR$6,000$6,100
AJ GreenWR$5,700$5,500

The Jaguars defense was just torched by the Miami Dolphins, and Cincinnati has just missed having a big stack go off. Joe Burrow has been excellent, and ranks 9th in QB scoring this season and you have to think this offensive line is horrendous, no offseason to work with timing of wide receivers, and he is still completing 65% of his passes with 821 passing yards and six total touchdowns. The Jaguars rank 32nd in DVOA against the pass this season, and the Bengals have a solid receiving core to buy into this week.

Tyler Boyd and AJ Green are the targets I am looking and, while both of them lead the Bengals in targets as expected. Boyd has produced so far this season, but Green has yet to have a big game. The big game is coming though, as Green has seen a ton of air yards and has just missed on a few deep balls from Burrow. The connection will continue to grow and the matchup against a weak Jags secondary is one to target.

Buffalo Bills

PlayerPositionFanDuel PriceDraftKings Price
Josh AllenQB$8,600$7,300
Devin SingletaryRB$6,000$5,900
Stefon DiggsWR$7,000$6,800

Buffalo's offense has been on fire this season and we should expect that to keep going this week. The Bills have some injury news that could affect this stack. If Zack Moss plays, I worry about Devin Singletary and will push off the running back stack and use Cole Beasley or John Brown. Now, Brown is also questionable for this week, which puts Beasley in a better spot if he does sit out. If everyone is healthy and plays, Allen-Diggs-Brown is the stack I would go with and avoid the running backs. Now this would be a great spot if Singletary plays without Moss, because Last Vegas ranks 32nd against the run, allowing the most fantasy points per game so far this season.

Josh Allen has really improved this season and has over 1,000 yards and 12 total touchdowns already this season. He is also completing passes at a 70% rate. Having plenty of weapons now certainly helps. Stefon Diggs has 288 yards on 28 targets this season, with two scores. Buffalo has a terrific matchup across the board and one of the higher implied totals on the board.
