Tonight is a smaller than usual slate which is typical for Thursdays. The goal here is to pick a stack that has a better chance than hitting than maybe the public perceives. Tonight, I like the Royals to put up some runs, so added the Royals stack to the optimizer and let the optimizer take it from there. Here's what I got for Fanduel.
MadBum on FD is a near must tonight in any format. The good part about stacking the Royals with him, is that you can still get good bats around them as well. As you'll notice I was still able to squeeze in Donaldson and Villar along with some punt plays in Martin and Kiermaier. This lineup certainly has some uniqueness and KC has a solid shot at leading tonight in runs scored under the radar.
On DK, the optimizer doesn't like MadBum as much due to his price/projection, so we'll be fading here. Again, we'll be playing two pitchers from the same game and hoping for a similar outcome to last night's game between these two. These are two good starters and hopefully they can both throw quality starts. KC stack once again with Villar. We are able to also fit in Billy Hamilton, and Votto in good spots. I like Arenado here because we are fading Bumgarner anyway and Arenado is always tough against lefties. Granted Bumgarner is a top shelf lefty, but Arenado will be far lower owned than usual tonight against a LHP, so I'll take my chances seeing as we are fading Bumgarner on DK anyway.
