Forecasting Analysis:

Surface map showing the trouble spots this evening:

TB@BAL

Showers and thunderstorms will rumble across the mid-Atlantic region this evening caused by a stalled front across the region. Here is what the radar could look like at 7 PM:

By 9 PM it should look like this:

So we can see that is not a washout, as we go through the evening the showers and thunderstorms should weaken and become less widespread.

LOW CHANCE OF A PPD, LOW TO MODERATE CHANCE OF ANY SORT OF DELAY(S)

LAD@PIT

A few scattered showers or thunderstorms could be across western PA. However, the coverage is expected to be very unimpressive as can be seen on the simulated radar at 7 PM:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD OR ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

NYM@ATL

Much like the game in PIT, this game will see widely scattered showers/thunderstorms. While I am not expecting any problems in either location, pop-up thunderstorms are the most unpredictable part of my job and you can never be sure when one will develop and sit right near the ballpark. Here is the simulated radar for near 1st pitch that shows how unlikley it is that we will see problems tonight:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD OR ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

HOU@KAN

As can be seen in the surface map above, Kansas City is near a warm front this evening. Thus we have the threat of some rain. Here is the 8 PM simulated radar:

That doesn't look too bad but the presence of a surface feature makes thinks a little less optimistic. I think they will play this game but I will watch this region closely.

VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD, LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

ARI@COL

Some rain will be found across the Front Range of the Rockies this evening. However, it seems to me that this is a typical Denver summer type of thing when the rain weakens as it drifts off of the mountains. Here is the simulated radar for 8 PM (8:40 scheduled 1st pitch):

By 10 PM it looks like this:

So not too worried about a PPD. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW TO MAYBE MODERATE CHANCE OF SOME SORT OF DELAY(S)
