Forecasting Analysis

The areas I am watching for delay/PPD threats:

ARI@COL

It just wouldn't be the same without the threat of some rain at Coors. Like the last couple of nights, I do not think that this is a big deal though. Here is the simulated radar for 4 PM (scheduled 1st pitch 4:10 PM EDT):

As I always do when it comes to rain in DEN, I look the surface map, show above, and see if there is any surface features (a front or low pressure system) that is making this more than the run of the mill thunderstorms drifting off the mountains. We can see the area of low pressure nearby so that means that this threat needs to be taken seriously. However, it just seems rather dry and I do not think we need to avoid this game just yet. LOW CHANCE OF PPD; LOW TO MODERATE CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

HOU@KAN

Showers and thunderstorms will be approaching the region as the game goes on. Here are simulated radars for 8 and 10 PM respectively:

So, as long as this timing is correct, they should not have a problem starting this game dry. We will just have to watch and see if a)the timing is right and b)if anything pops up out ahead of this main line. VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD; LOW TO MAYBE MODERATE CHANCE OF A DELAY LATE

NYM@ATL

A few widely scattered thunderstorms will be across the region. Nothing organized and this game is not at risk of being PPD. Here is a simulated radar for 7 PM:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)
