Like most of the rest of the country, southern New England is in an extremely warm and humid airmass. This is providing the fuel for thunderstorms. Here is the current radar:

And the simulated radar for 7 PM shows this:

So, while the simulated radar may be overdone in terms of thunderstorms coverage, even the current radar shows thunderstorms scattered about. Looks like most of them should stay north of the city but there is no guarantee that something can not pop up further to the south. So, WHILE I THINK THE PLAY THE GAME, THE RISK FOR DELAY(S) IS THERE

Much like BOS, the simulated radar looks a bit overdone as compared to the actual radar and most of the rain looks to miss CLE JUST to their north. But it is a close call. I believe the PPD risk is higher here than in BOS.
