With a full 15 game slate tonight there are plenty of options at all positions. I'm definitely using Max and while there are plenty of good SP2 options, im probably pairing him with Newcomb who is in a great spot so I can fit in a lot of the bats I want. My top bat for tonight is J.D. Martinez. I love Detroit in this spot as they are far better against lefties and while Straham is a good prospect, he's not there yet and Detroit is on the cusp of breaking out. The Tigers finally came to life towards the end of the game in San Diego on Sunday to salvage their lone victory on a west coast road trip. I watched a lot of this game and their offense finally started to look alive and I expect that to continue into tonight against a weak lefty. Martinez is my top Tiger as he has been on fire since he returned from he DL almost 40 games ago. In that time span J.D. has 12 bombs and does most of his damage against lefties. I expect J.D. to have a huge night tonight and at $4500 is reasonably priced for his upside.
