Last week I feel sort in my challenge against Chris "Beersmakerfan" Prince and since I hate to lose I will be challenging him again this week. I have posted last weeks results for your viewing.

Results

"Beersmakerfan" wins this week. We both had Taylor in our value column and if you played Taylor you were rewarded. Taylor scored 15.9 FanDuel points at minimum salary, passing for 195 yards and a touchdown, while adding 41 on the ground with no turnovers. In the mid-tier Prince wins the battle as Tannehill had a great game in real life but a poor game for fantasy owners. He completed 22/34 for 226 yards and a touchdown and zero interceptions for 11.74 fantasy points. Prince's choice in Bradford has a sub-par game in real life but was great for fantasy owners due to his volume of passes. Bradford threw 52 passes for 336 yards and a touchdown. Bradford also threw two interceptions one to ice the game for the Falcons. Due to his high volume of yards Bradford scored 15.44 points. In the upper tier Prince once again got the upper hand as Tony Romo took advantage of the porous Giants secondary for three scores. He finished the day with 24.14 points. My pick of Matt Ryan was steady throwing for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns but was undone my 2 interceptions with one coming in the end zone. Ryan finished the day with 18.62 points. Tune in next week for the next challenge and see if I fair better than week 1.

Now to the picks

High Dollar

Prince- Andrew Luck $8900/Myself Drew Brees $8900

Prince has gone with Luck looking for a bounce back game against the Jets and I am just not buying it. The Colts will most likely be without their top wide out and have to deal with Revis Island. Brees has one of if not the best match ups you can have against an awful Buccaneers team. The Saints have a team total of 28.75 points and should breeze no pun intended in this game. Big questions of how many times Brees gets to air it out but even in limited work will put up huge numbers in this one. I would not be surprised one bit if we saw 300 yards and 3 plus touchdowns for Brees in this game.

Mid Tier

Prince- Carson Palmer $7800/Myself Carson Palmer $7800

Prince has Palmer in this spot and you will find no argument here with me. With Andre Ellington out Palmer will have to carry the Cardinals against a bad Bears defense. Palmer has been on fire in his last 16 starts and I see no signs that he will slow down in this game. Palmer had 307 and 3 TDs in week 1 on 32 attempts and I would not surprise to see him air it out 40 plus times this game and get close to 400 yards.

Value Tier

Prince- Nick Foles $6500/Myself- Jameis Winston $6600

I have no problem with with the Foles pick and can not make any real arguments against him but have decided to go against the grain with Winston. The Bucs will be down big in this game and Winston will have to air it out. The Saints have a leaky defense who allowed Carson Palmer to have his way. Winston despite some bad mistakes actually had a decent fantasy day with 16.2 fantasy points. Most of his damage was done late in the game when the Bucs were playing catch up. He also is likely to have a big weapon in Mike Evans back in the lineup.

Results of this weeks contests

Clean sweep for me this week. Both Prince's and myself's high dollar picks were duds but I was able to edge out as Brees made less mistakes than Luck. Brees finished with 13.1 points, while Luck finished with 11.4. We both had Palmer as our mid-tier and that proved to be a great pick as Palmer threw for four touchdowns and finished with 22.2 points. In the value tier Prince went with Floes who got manhandled by the Redskins defense and finished with 10.1 points. I went with the face of the Bucs Mr. Famous Jameis and it proved to be a great choice as he passed for a score and also ran one in finishing with 18.58 points.

I am not buying the Luck bounce back either, so I definitely like Brees over him.

Palmer-Palmer no surprise there, excellent matchup.

I actually like Winston over Foles, like you said, they have a battered secondary right now. Redskins held Tannehill in check, and they have a much better cast than Foles and company. Winston should outscore Foles.

I will be playing Brees over Luck as well, but a 300 and 4 TD game from Luck is very much in the cards - I love the Redskins as a sneaky D/ST play this week, and I will definitely have zero exposure to Foles. Good Luck this weekend!

I can see Luck putting up that kind of performance but for cash games he is too much a risk. He does get good news that Hilton is likely to play but how effective will he be?
