Analysis:

Cam Newton and Drew Brees will likely square off against each other, and I say likely because of Newton's health. He was riding a scooter in the middle of the day during the week, so I am going to say he is fine. Both these teams rank inside the bottom ten in pass defense, per Football Outsiders. Brees at home is a terrific option at home to stack, especially given his wideouts aren't that expensive. Lineup construction likes paying up at quarterback this week, but there is still room to grab some other big names.

David Johnson has been a consistent as can be, posting over 100 yards in every game this season. The touchdowns have come in bunches, but he has only scored below 15 points in just one week this year. The Jets offense ranks pretty well against the run, but do struggle defending backs in the passing game. I doubt this week is any different for Johnson in terms of yardage. The cash lineup, also plugs Le'Veon Bell in, who has yet to find the end zone, but is hovering around 20 points a game solely based on receptions and yards. I will be looking for him to go off yet again. Theo Riddick in a GPP on FanDuel is more about him finding the end zone, and it really has to be multiple times for him to get the upside. We have seen it happen already, but this is a tough matchup. Justin Forsett also will take away some snaps.

The Saints stack is intriguing due to the pricing of the wideouts being cheaper than some other stacks. Brandin Cooks could be in line for a monster week, and did well last year against a better Carolina secondary. We have yet to see him really get going outside of the first game, so ownership shouldn't be too high. Carolina ranks 26th against opposing WR1, and they rank 25th against WR3. Michael Thomas has 20 targets in the last two weeks, but one of those games was without Willie Snead. Hard to tell if he sees 8-9 targets again like San Diego, but 5-6 is there. He has caught everything thrown his way, and we could be onto a receiver that Brees trusts. Emmanuel Sanders let some people down last week, but he will have a chance to rebound against a battered San Diego secondary. Under $7,000, this is a great value for exposure to the Thursday night game. Doug Baldwin and Jordan Matthews are sitting in the mid range, and in high total games. Baldwin can be trusted at home, but as we saw last week with Matthews, he can't. In a GPP, I will fire away.

Zach Ertz and Nick Novack are in all three lineups. Ertz only saw three targets which was disappointing, but he will have a middle of the road matchup to bounce back. A dome game against two offenses that can move the ball, Nick Novack pops up as the optimal kicker. Buffalo is the cash game defense this week, and it's good to see them there. The other two are a bit out of my radar, but the optimizer has nailed defense this year.
