Teams are starting to get into their conference schedule and on Friday the Pac-12 is throwing a conference showcase. We are going to be focusing on this 5 game slate for this weeks tight end punts. I am starting to question if punting is still the right call this year. There have been some steady tight ends this year that have produced on an every game basis but there is still great value to be found in the bargain basement. Here are my three favorites on this slate. All of the players are $3000 or under and give you roster flexibility.

1. Kody Kohl- Kohl has become a favorite target for Mike Bercovici with 8 catches this year. He does not gain a huge amount of yards but is very consistent in getting points each week. He does have upside as he has scored two touchdowns on the year after scoring 4 last year. Kohl also may get more targets in the upcoming weeks if Devin Lucien is not able to play. If you want safety at a cheap price then Kohl is a great place to look.

2. Joshua Perkins- I doubt Perkins will stay in the punt category very long. In the first two games of the season for the senior tight end he leads the Pac-12 tight ends with 8 catches and 112 yards. Last year Perkins had a great year with 25 catches and 315 yards. He does not get in the end zone as much as you would like with only 6 career scores and none on the year but has the most upside yardage wise of any other player in his price range.

3. Dalton Schultz- After the first two guys I mentioned things get really murky in the value bin. If I want to totally punt the position Schultz has the most safety and does offer upside. He plays in a system that is tight end friendly at Stanford and has catches in all three games this year. Last week he had a 3 for 40 line. He also is a red-zone threat even though he is yet to score.
