What do we think of Chris Ivory?

I havent seen him in anyones lineups this week. Is he more of a GPP play?

Going against a hurting Eagles defense. If Chip Kellys offense decides to show up the Jets could be playing from behind so it could make for a little more risk.

Opinions?

Ivory is a good play if he his healthy. Game flow will dictate a lot of what is done on offense. If the Jets are up in the second half he will get the carriers but if they are down and playing catch up he will not be in the game.

I agree with zachsgotmoxy. To me he's a bit of a risk coming off a short week and he's still not a 100%. I think there's a ton value out there that'll allow you to fill out a solid lineup with expensive players. Danny Woodhead,Dion Lewis, and James Stark could make for a solid play.

I'll add Chris Polk to the mix of value backs I like this week. He was better than Blue last week, and the Texans are favorites, so it could turn into ground chuck in the second half. In GPPs, I don't mind swinging for the fences with David Johnon, either.

As a listener to sports talk radio when I was younger, you got a chuckle out of me, scottymofo. Powell will be a popular player if it looks like Ivory is going to be inactive. I honestly think I like him in GPPs more if Ivory is expected to be active, because Powell's ownership should be kept in check if he's healthy and the potential for Ivory's workload being limited is there. In cash games, it would obviously be preferable for Powell's value that Ivory is inactive.

Hopefully nobody fell into the Ivory trap there.

Interesting note: David Johnson 3.5% higher owned than Powell in GPPs on FanDuel. In a 28,000 person tournament that is a pretty dramatic over-start on Johnson IMO.

How could you not when they announce 30 mins before game time that Ivory is a go? I didn't have him on many LUs but he did screw me on one...
