Cash Game Projections

While the 49ers had no problem disposing of the Los Angeles Rams, they certainly have a different animal in week two. They head to Carolina to take on the Panthers and Cam Newton. Newton is certainly in cash game play, and should be considered in all formats. While he's a tremendous option, it's tough to nail down a specific stacking option, as he's such a potent weapon in the red zone and they should be running in the second half. Ted Ginn and Devin Funchess are certainly interesting contrarian tournament options. DeAngelo Williams and the Steelers crushed the Redskins in Week One, and should be in line to have another fine day offensively agains the Bengals. Williams has been nothing short of fantastic when subbing in for Le'Veon Bell, and should continue to as long as he's in the feature role. LaGarrette Blount is a really solid option, especially with price considered this week. Now that we know the Patriots are still a reasonable offense without Tom Brady, we can be somewhat confident game-flow could be in Blount's favor at some stage.

Would you like to debate Antonio Brown being in a cash game lineup, because I wouldn't. We know what we're getting there. We'll see where Russell Wilson is at as the week goes along. If he's good to go, there should be no issue using Baldwin. But, If Wilson doesn't play or is reported as limited, it's going to be trust to fully trust Baldwin. Michael Floyd is a really solid tournament option this week, but I'm not totally sold in cash games. Sure, he's a nice price and value, but even with his recent role, there has to be at least a slight worry about them slowly working John Brown into more and more snaps as he gets re-acclimated after his offseason concussion issues. Brent Celek is an interesting move with the injury to Zach Ertz, however, he's not really on my radar. He could certainly be involved, but the target-share will likely get shifted even more in the direction of Jordan Matthews. He's a great cash game option this week.

There's been much talk about Jeremy Langford over the last few months and whether or not he's worthy of feature back touches. That still hasn't been determined, but either way, he's still being force-fed volume. He gets a relatively weak Eagles defense this week, and should be able to pick up some nice volume in both the receiving and running game. The Ravens defense is certainly in cash game consideration against this Browns offense. They lost Robert Griffin to IR in week one, and should be in a position to struggle against this tough Ravens front seven.

GPP Projections

The Base is still strong in this matchup, and should suit this lineup well, some of these tournament plays, are, well, interesting. Danny Woodhead is a great play once again, at a reduced price. It was clear the offense was heading in Woodhead's direction after the Keenan Allen injury, and it did. He's in another solid matchup again, where both teams should be going back and forth. If the Jaguars get ahead early, this could be a huge day for Woodhead. Steve Smith is certainly cheap, but limiting your exposure, even in tournaments, is a good idea. There's simply too many mouths to feed in both the running and passing game to truly figure out who's going to see the lion-share of the targets and snaps at this stage. Zach Miller is an interesting call. He was solid at the end of last season and should be third in line for targets behind Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White. Miller does bring a solid floor, but overall, it's tough to make a solid argument for him as a tournament option. The Steelers are a no-fly zone against the Bengals. A.J. Green is in line for a career season and should be able to produce against this Steelers defense. The Bengals run game should be shut down, but overall, that's not enough to feel comfortable rolling out Pittsburgh out there.

Stack

To the surprise of nobody, the Steelers are the top stack once again this week. They were a dominant trio in week three, and should be once again. There's no debating using this group, as it should be highly profitable once again.

Lineup Including Stack

The optimizer gave us Cam Newton, along with Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess. I actually don't mind this at all in a tournament sense. In terms of the game itself, it's fairly obvious that Carolina is a huge favorite, and should be able to take care of business. If they do, it'll likely come in a variety of ways. Newton latched onto Kelvin Benjamin as his top target in week one, but overall, it's fair to wonder if he heads back to his 2015 'spread it out' ways in week two against easier competition. Ted Ginn is another option to consider. Mark Ingram has a great opportunity to be a contrarian option this week as the focus will be on Drew Brees and the passing game. The ownership will be high on that group across the board, and Ingram will be great leverage. While the Redskins looked horrible in Week one, they should rebound. The Cowboys simply haven't been a strong enough defense to provide the upside I'm looking for in a lineup.
