Cash Game Projections

Cam Newton is certainly coming off a tough loss in Week Three, but overall, he's still a tremendous option. Paying up for quarterback is an ok strategy in this situation, as he's facing a defense that's struggling. With Jonathan Stewart out, it's fair to believe Newton will take on a bigger role in the goal-line rushing game, and if they make it to the red-zone multiple times, it's very likely he'll be on one end of the touchdowns.

Justin Forsett simply hasn't shown the upside to be considered a real option at this stage. They're treating this running back group like an all out committee, and with that considered, it's tough to trust Forsett, even in optimal match-ups. Le'Veon Bell is back in the lineup, and should instantly jump back into his featured role. Bell has been an absolutely dominant back when not injured or suspended over the last two seasons, and should be considered a high-end fantasy running back every week. While Kansas City showed some signs of life against the Jets last week, this is most certainly a different situation. Bell is both a cash game and tournament option with his role. Melvin Gordon is facing off against a defense that just allowed over 250 total yards and four touchdowns to the Atlanta Falcons running backs. Now, the combination of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman certainly isn't chopped liver, but they shouldn't be gaining nearly 300 total yards on anyone. Melvin Gordon has a feature role to himself, and while he didn't run well against a weak Colts run defense last week, he has another tremendous opportunity against a bad Saints defense. He's priced reasonably and should be considered in all formats.

Doug Baldwin was successful with both Russell Wilson and Trevone Boykin quarterbacking the Seahawks offense in Week Three. While the Jets defense has been solid for the most part, they've given up some big games to premium receiving options already. While Derrelle Revis is still a feared name, his days as an elite cornerback are over. Baldwin has already had two high-end receiving games this year, and would be a good bet to make it a third on Sunday. Steve Smith is certainly trending in the right direction after his eight catch performance on Sunday, but with Mike Wallace, Dennis Pitta and Breshad Perriman all vying for snaps and targets, it's going to be tough to bank on a specific amount of targets per week. He's a fine tournament option, but overall, there's certainly volatility that goes along with him. John Brown is cheap and a worthy tournament option, but once again, it's tough to trust him and his role after he's been so inconsistent for the first three weeks. While it does appear he's back to receiving a full plate of snaps, it's tough to take anything significant away from the Cardinals blowout loss to the Bills.

Kyle Rudolph has gone above 10 Yahoo points in each of his first three games to start the season, and should be considered a value with his new and revamped offense considered. He's been in a run-first offense his entire career, and what he's done so far this year should be considered a different sample than the rest of his career.

The Colts simply aren't in play, I don't care how much Blake Bortles has struggled.

GPP Projections

The Patriots have shifted their game-plans quite a bit of late, but it's tough to envision James White playing a huge role. He was great in Week One, but this would be a better 'wait it out and see' rather than trust in a tournament lineup type of situation. Antonio Brown is an interesting swerve that I like, and think can work. But at his huge price, it's tough to build a solid lineup around him. If Michael Floyd is in the lineup I trust him more than John Brown, but overall, neither play is all the enticing to me. Julius Thomas is a tremendous play, if not just for tournaments, but for cash games as well. I feel much more comfortable using the Steelers defense. They have solid upside in that matchup, at home.

Stack

Le'Veon is back, and this stack rocks. Let's do it, in all formats.

Lineup Including Stack

I am absolutely in love with this lineup. The Bortles/Robinson/Thomas stack is one of the highest upside of the week, and with price considered, could be the best value. Not only that, but surrounding them with a Melvin Gordon/Jordan Howard combination really makes things solid in terms of floor and ceiling. The Bengals defense is a great option as they face a much easier opponent in the Dolphins this week.
