I noticed that the MLB Optimizer selects players who aren't in the starting lineup. For example, today Aledmys Diaz was projected for 10+ points despite not being in the starting lineup. Now, this is the free version so I'm not sure if something is different with the paid version. Any insight?

Question

Hey Steve, we put in a fix for this yesterday. Nothing to do with free/premium. Diaz was likely projected for 10+ early in the day before lineups came out, and I see 5 now for his projection which still shouldn't be there. Do you recall if the Cardinals lineup was confirmed with the green dot when you used the optimizer?

The lineup was confirmed because it included Fowler who batted 1. He had a green dot beside him. Diaz had a "-" for "order" and a Q by his name.

Diaz didn't pop up in one of your generated lineups did he? Or was he just in the player pool?

If there was a red or green box around his projection he may have had an old projection. Our optimizer updates frequently, but user has to select from the dropdown to reset to current projections.

Yes. He appeared as the SS in the optimized lineup. I can't remember if his projection was red or green. I do know that updated it to see if it would kick him out and it didn't. He still appeared in the optimized lineup. 7 years ago

We are taking a look into this. Thanks for giving us a heads up.
