Dean and Deluca Invitational Preview

Fort Worth, Texas is the site for this weeks stop on the tour, with the beautiful Colonial Country Club providing the setting. The par 70 track measures just over 7,200 yards, and has rewarded an accurate player off the tee, and one that is precise with their approach shots. You won't find many golf courses that don't reward that, I know, but it's more imperative this week than most. It's also notoriously windy at this event, and the early forecast for this week looks ugly as well. Keep a close eye on that before you finalize your lineups. The field is a decent one this week, with some nice star power at the top. Jordan Spieth is the highest priced player on the board this week at $12,800, and I don't mind paying up for him if you expect at last a top 3 finish. In his three appearances here, he's gained almost nine strokes tee to green to the field, the highest mark by far. He's part of eleven of the top 30 golfers in the world teeing it up, including Adam Scott, Patrick Reed and Louis Oosthuizen. Colonial puts it's fists up during holes 3-5, known as the 'Horrible Horseshoe', or the toughest three hole stretch on the PGA Tour.
