Recap

This past week was brutal! Only Dustin Johnson was able to make the cut for us and the other 3 players had the bad draw with the weather. O'Hair and Kuchar almost made the cut, but faltered at the end. Congrats to Spieth on his victory!

This Week

We are back at Riviera Country Club, the host of the Genesis Open. Riviera is 7,322 yards and a par 71. This is truly the start of The Road to Augusta. There are 16/25 top players in the world making their appearance this week. You have your defending champion, Bubba Watson, Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia, who is coming off a win in Dubai. Just to name a few. The stats that I'm looking for this week are Course History; Recent form; and G.I.R.%. Here are my core players for this week.

Core

Dustin Johnson ($11,400) – This week, it's going to be very easy to fit two guys at the top and still have a decent lineup. You still need to choose which players you like and fade the rest. You can't have them all. My guy this week is Dustin Johnson. He has 4 top 10s here at Riviera and has 3 top 10s in his last 4 starts this year, including last week. He is still solid with his irons, hitting the greens at 76%.

Justin Rose ($8,400) – This is the first example of DK's pricing being soft. Why do they have Rose at this price, I will never understand. With that being said, he is going to be popular and for good reason. He has zero missed cuts here and has 2 top 10s in his last 4 starts this year. He is neck and neck with D.J. with his greens %, hitting them at 75%. Rose could be my one and done pick for the week.

Ryan Moore ($7,300) – Moore is a very consistent player. For a guy that likes to wear ties on the course, he doesn't miss a beat with his game. He has 1 missed cut and 2 top 10s in his last 6 appearances here. Also, he is on form with 3 top 20 finishes in his last 5 events and hitting his greens at 72%.

J.B. Holmes ($7,100) – J.B. is getting into form and with a cheap price tag, he's going to be my 4th guy in my core. He has 1 miss cut with a top 10 in his 6 appearances at Riviera, and has 4 top 40 finishes in his last 4 starts for the season. He could be my dark horse for this week.

Exposure

I'm going to use 65% of my core in my lineups. That way, if my players do miss the cut then I still have a possibly of winning a nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, is what we are all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
