Recap

What an exciting finish that was, with Spieth going wire to wire! For DraftKings, you went from having just 1% of getting 6/6 through at the U.S. Open to having close 30% of having 6/6 through for the Travelers. For me, I had 15/17 golfers making the cut and I managed to get 1 out of 3 GPP lines cashing and winning 2/6 h2hs for the week. My mistake was taking Charley Hoffman out of my cash lineup and going Z.J. who ended up missing the cut. Congrats to Spieth for his 10th victory on tour!

This Week

We are headed to Washington, D.C. for the Quicken Loans National. It's being played at TPC Potomac, which is a par 70 and 7,139 yards. This is going to be the first time this tournament has played here, so be mindful when looking at tournament history. With that being said, I'm just going to take course history out and just focus on the 3 stats that I look at every week and the player's recent form. Those 3 stats that I like to look at are B.O.B. %; G.I.R.; and Proximity.

Core

Rickie Fowler (S12,000) – At the top, I'm going to pick probably the most popular play in this range and that is Rickie Fowler. Rickie has been on form all season long. He has made 2 out of 3 cuts in his last 6 weeks and he ended up finishing the top 5 in both cuts that he has made. For stats, he's probably the 2nd best player in the field for the 3 stats that I'm looking at. He's 2nd in the field for B.O.B.% (4th); 21st in the field for G.I.R. (32nd); and 18th in the field for Proximity. He would be my pick to win this week.

Brendan Steele ($8,900) – Steele has been my go to guy all season, and I see no signs of him slowing down. He has made his last 3 cuts, and he finished inside the top 15 in his last 2 starts. He is just behind Fowler when it comes to his ball striking. He's 5th in the field for B.O.B. % (17th); 26th in the field for G.I.R. (42nd); and he's tied for 11th in the field for Proximity (25th). If it wasn't for the next guy on the list, he would've been my dark horse.

Kyle Stanley ($7,600) – Here is probably the most popular play of the week. If not, then the 2nd most popular play for the week. Just like Steele, Stanley has become my go to golfer every week. His stats are best in the field. He's 7th in the field for B.O.B % (23rd); 1st in the field for G.I.R. (2nd); and 1st in the field for Proximity (2nd). With a top 10 back at the memorial and making 2 cuts after that, he is going to be my dark horse for this week.

Lucas Glover ($6,900) – So, there is a golfer just above Glover that everyone will be going towards this week, and that is good old C.H.3 at $7,000. With that, I'm going to give you one of my punt plays for this week. Even though Glover has missed his last 2 cuts, his stats are still solid and the fact that he's 44th in the FedEx cup, that is still good value, when Stanley is 38th in the FedEx cup and he's $700 more. Glover's 32nd in the field for B.O.B. % (60th); 5th in the field for G.I.R. (9th); and he's tied with Steele for Proximity (25th). With C.H.3 being right there for the taking, Glover could be overlooked and this could be a nice bounce back week for him to give you an edge in a gpp.

Exposure

For exposure this week, I will recommend going 40-60%. If you like to play the multi entry GPPs, go around 40% for your core and choose about 20 more golfers to complete your player pool. For 3 entry max GPPs, choose the 4 players you like the most and rotate those 4 while adding about 6-8 more. That way, if your core hits, then you will have a really good chance of having a nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, is what we are all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
