Recap

This past week was a difficult week for the “chalk”. After the MDF, only about 2% or so in GPPs had 6/6 through for Sunday. Which is a good example on why I recommended to cut back on your bankroll. Congrats to D.A. Points on winning the Puerto Rico Open!

This Week

We are headed to Shell Houston Open. This tournament is a popular spot for players because it's a nice comparable course to Augusta, which begins next week! That's the only reason why we're seeing a deep field this week. The players love the set up and the fact that the staff try to simulate, as best as they can, to The Masters. Golf Club of Houston is 7,441 yards and a par 72. As per usual, I'm going to be looking for course history; recent form in their last 6 weeks; and G.I.R.% in their last 6 weeks.

Core

Rickie Fowler ($10,000) – With Dustin Johnson already withdrawing from the tournament, the ownership will be more spread out for our top guys above 10k this week. The first player in my core is Rickie Fowler. He has 2 top 10s in his 5 previous attempts here. He has a win; a top 5 finish and a missed cut in his last 6 events played this year. He's doing all of this by hitting his greens at 68%.

Russel Henley ($8,700) – I believe Henley will be one of the more popular plays for this week. Mainly, because of his course history. He has 3 top 10s in his last 4 appearances. Furthermore, he has 1 top 10; 1 missed cut; and he's been hitting his greens at 67% in his last 6 weeks.

R.C.B. ($7,900) – R.C.B. is a really consistent player this year. He's G.I.R.% is at a steady 65%, while he hasn't missed a cut and has 2 top 10s in his last 6 starts for this season. He only played here once before, which was last year, and he finished in 4th place. He could be a nice dark horse for this week.

Jhonattan Vegas ($7,300) – To round up my core, I like Vegas this week. In his last 5 appearances, he has 1 missed cut and 1 top 20 finish. He's been hitting his greens at a respectable 64% and has zero missed cuts while finishing 4th at The Honda.

Exposure

This week, we are back to normal exposures. All 4 of these core players are cash viable. For multi entry, I'm going to recommend 40-60% and pick around 20 other golfers. Also, for 3 entry max tournaments, I would rotate the 4 and pick around 6-9 other players. That way, if our core players hit, then we will have a good chance of having a nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, is what we're all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
