Much like we saw with Craig Anderson the other night, Ottawa allows a ton of shots on goal, allowing their goalies to have extreme upside in our fake game. I am not sure why Ottawa is being disrespected so badly among the odds tonight, but this will keep the ownership down. Ottawa is allowing 33 shots per game, but Hammond is also backed by a strong offense. If he allows two goals, he still has a shot at the win, and the shots against are a big plus here. He is a cheaper boom-or-bust option tonight.

I am not sure how many will pay up for Sidney Crosby tonight, which is why I am looking at him in tournaments. Calgary has allowed four goals per game on average, and really struggle on the penalty kill. The Penguins have been disappointing fantasy options, but their prices remain high. We know the upside of Crosby, and I am looking at a Pittsburgh stack tonight, with a few of the other cheaper Penguin options.

Blake Wheeler continues to rack up fantasy points, alongside most of the Jets players. Philly is allowed three goals per game on average, and Vegas loves Jets to score three or more tonight. Winnipeg ranks in the top ten in goals per game, and rank 12th in power play percentage. Wheeler has 12 points in ten games this season, and is producing right with his price tag.

I am pivoting away from P.K. Subban, going with his line mate, Andrei Markov. Montreal has a 25% power play conversion rate, and are scoring the most goals per game this season. This is no shocker, given their record. Boston ranks 27th in opposing goals per game, and I expect Montreal to feast as they usually do. He is a bit inconsistent, but at this price, and matchup, I will be looking his way at home.

Mats Zuccarello (W), Rangers

Mats Zuccarello is a nice mid priced play tonight, and will definitely be low owned. Phoenix is allowed 2.8 goals per game, while the Rangers are scoring a shade under three. Zuccarello is not priced line a first liner, and he also sees time on the first power play unit. Arizona also allows a ton of shots on net, and Vegas has New York with a decent line to score over three goals.

Value Plays

Olli Maatta (D - PIT) FD: $4,200 DK: $3,500

In a possible high scoring game for Pittsburgh, I am heading to the second line to grab Olli Maatta. He is a hopeful punt play to load up on other options, and he will see plenty of time with the first two offensive lines.

Mikko Koivu (C - MIN) FD: $5,400 DK: $4,500

Mikko Koivu has 11 points in 10 games this season, and he is still priced fairly cheap. Minnesota is scoring over three goals per game, but Tampa is a solid defensive team. Someone will have to step up in Parise's absence, and I expect it to be Koivu.

Joel Ward (W - SJ) FD: $3,700 DK: $4,500

Seven goals in ten games for Joel Ward, and he finds himself on the second line, as well as the second power play unit. His price is dirt cheap, and one of the better value plays tonight.

Jimmy Hayes (W - BOS) FD: $4,000 DK: $4,600

With no Carey Price, I do not mind taking a few cheap Bruins players tonight, and Jimmy Hayes is one. He continues to put points on the board, with 11 in 10 games. He plays on the second power play unit, but the third line. However, Bruins have been known to ride the third and fourth line more than other teams.
