Steve Mason is a bold choice for goalie tonight, and I like him a lot for his price. Vancouver is averaging 2.5 goals per game, which is 20th in the league. Philadelphia is one of the poorer defensive teams in the league, and allow a ton of shots on net. (32.4) This gives Mason upside, and also helps if he allows a goal, or two. Philly are small favorites tonight at home, and if you want to afford some big names, going cheap in net is an option. Mason has a very high ceiling, but the floor is fairly low.

Top Skaters

The Stars will be popular plays tonight, but even in GPP formats, it is very hard to get away from the upside. Starting with Tyler Seguin, he is a high priced player I want in my lineups tonight. Dallas has a 3.5 team total, and with Calgary allowing 3.4 goals per game, and Dallas scoring 3.4 per game, you can see why. Seguin has one of the higher floors/ceilings in hockey. Against the Flames tonight, he will be worth the high price tag. He has 12 points in the last ten games, and even with Patrick Kane's point streak, he remains four behind him. You can load up on Stars tonight.

Patrick Marleau (C/W), Sharks

If you are looking for a sneakier team to possibly stack, the Sharks are on my radar, starting with Patrick Marleau. San Jose is an average offense at this point, generating 2.57 goals per game. Toronto has a very subpar defense, and penalty killing percentage. Marleau headlines the top power-play unit, making him an intriguing tier two play tonight. He has six goals, and four assists in the last ten games.

Duncan Keith (D), Blackhawks

Chicago is the other team with a 3.5 total tonight, and of course the obvious plays are ready to roll out. Duncan Keith has some upside in this matchup, given Edmonton's struggles defensively, as well as on the power play. They have allowed three goals per game on average, and Keith has nine points in the last ten games. He has come back from injury with a bang, and it is hard not to like him on the top line of both even strength, and the power play.

Max Domi (W), Coyotes

Max Domi, and a few other Coyotes catch my eye tonight. Arizona is scoring the 11th most goals per game in the NHL, while Columbus is allowing the 6th most goals per game. Arizona is always a sneaky offense, and guys like Anthony Duclair, and the top line make for cheaper plays with upside. Domi has nine points in the last ten games, and 25 in 30. Arizona has solid odds to cross over that three goal mark tonight.

Value Plays

Teuvo Teravainen (W - CHI) FD: $4,900 DK: $4,000

Well with a team given a 3.5 goal total, and a first winger at this price, he is an obvious value option. Teuvo Teravainen has four points in the last ten games, and playing with Jonathan Toews, and Marian Hossa does wonders for your fantasy production.

Alex Goligoski (D - DAL) FD: $5,400 DK: $4,400

Alex Goligoski has first line defenseman duties right now, and makes for a fairly cheap option. He is definitely a GPP play, due to his low one point fantasy games. He does have multi-point upside, as we have seen a few times this season. In a matchup against Calgary, I will be deploying as much as possible.

Brandon Dubinsky (C - CBJ) FD: $6,200 DK: $3,900

Brandon Dubinsky is a first line center tonight, priced like a fourth liner. As good as Arizona's offense has been, their defense is not their forte. They have allowed the second most goals per game this season, and allowing the 9th most shots per game. Manning the power-play line as well, I will be all over Dubinsky at this price.

Valeri Nichushkin (W - DAL) FD: $3,400 DK: $3,800

Sorry, one more Stars' player here. Valeri Nichushkin has eight points in the last ten games, and two multi-point games in that span. I have rambled on about the Dallas offense, and Calgary's bad defense already. He is a second line winger, playing alongside Jason Spezza, and Patrick Sharp. He also plays on the second power play unit.

nice work, I'm all over the CBJ-ARI game with such atrocious goaltending, Dubinsky on DK might be my favorite value play of the night
