The Montreal Canadiens have clearly struggled without their number one goalie, and Ben Scrivens arrival has not really saved the day. However he is coming off three straight wins, allowing four goals in the last three games. Buffalo is coming off of a rough game in Philly, so the back-to-back is against them. Montreal is well rested, and are decent favorites to take the W on the road tonight. Buffalo is averaging 2.27 goals per game this season, and are projected to score the third lowest on tonight's slate. Scrivens is cheap, carries upside, and is in a good spot for a win. He can help you pay up for those stud skaters tonight.

Kind of like Alex Ovechkin last night, sometimes it is easy to just pay up for the high upside plays. Crosby has a ridiculous 19 points in the last ten games. He has five multi-point games in that span as well. Carolina sports a league average defense, allowing 2.63 goals per game, and rank 13th in PK%. Since the All-Star break, Pittsburgh is tied for 5th in goals scored per game, averaging over three and a half. Crosby has been a big part of that. It is encouraged to pair him up with one or two of Chris Kunitz, Patric Hornqvist, and Kris Letang.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson is looking like the popular play tonight, alongside Letang. Let's not forget about P.K. Subban who has 11 points in the last ten games. Subban has four assists in two games against Buffalo this season, one coming on the powerplay. I am looking to exploit the subpar defense tonight with the Montreal top line. Buffalo is averaging 2.75 goals allowed per game, and rank in the middle of the league in PK%. Subban has a six game point streak, and I would be shocked if he didn't pick up another one to add to it tonight.

Detroit is always a tricky team to figure out, and with Dylan Larkin and Pavel Datsyuk also centers on DraftKings, you are hoping to nab the correct one. Now Datsyuk is in play as well, and I love the powerplay unit for Detroit tonight. Colorado ranks 25th in powerplay goals allowed, and rank 23rd in PK%. They rank in the bottom ten in goals allowed per game, and Detroit is projected to be the second highest scoring team of the night. If you want to a cheap winger, Justin Abdelkader is skating with them on the powerplay unit, and top line.

This is likely going to be the highest scoring game tonight combined, and even with Calgary on the back-to-back I like them. Johnny Gaudreau has eight points in the last nine games, and is coming off of a two assist game. Calgary has pretty good home/away splits, so being on the road does not favor them tonight. The matchup does favor them, as Arizona allows the third most goals per game, and rank 27th in PK%. Both of these teams are horrendous defensively, so I will use this game as a pretty good core tonight. Sean Monahan, Jiri Hudler, and Mark Giordano are teammates to go along with him.

Value Plays

Mikkel Boedker (W - AZ) FD: $5,000 DK: $4,600

Arizona could have had some featured skaters, as Calgary ranks 26th in goals allowed per game. Phoenix has plenty of value skaters tonight, with the top two lines being in play. Boedker skates on the top powerplay unit, and Calgary has the 29th ranked PK% this season. Boedker has been sluggish of late, but a home matchup against Calgary can get him off the schneid.

Alex Galchenyuk (C - MON) FD: $4,900 DK: $4,400

If you want cheap exposure to the Montreal powerplay and top line, it is Alex Galchenyuk. He is a great glue piece for you multi-entry players, due to his price and upside. He has 4+ DK points in four of the last six games for Montreal and should have plenty of chances at another one against Buffalo.

Mattias Ekholm (D - NSH) FD: $4,700 DK: $4,000

There is not a ton of guys I like at defense tonight for cheap, but Mattias Ekholm is a decent defenseman seeing time on the second powerplay unit. He has eight points in the last ten games, and is a lineup filler tonight at your second D spot. He has seen about 23 minutes of ice time in the last seven games, as long as he stays out of the box.
