8-game slate tonight, with four teams on the back-to-back. (Arizona, Carolina, Nashville, and Florida) San Jose is the highest projected scoring team tonight, followed by Columbus, Edmonton, and Dallas. Toronto, Anaheim, Carolina, and Nashville are your lowest scoring teams. Where is the Edmonton line you ask? Connor McDavid, Jordan Eberle, and Benoit Pouliot are right here. They are going to be a chalky line, and you have seen the upside they bring since McDavid has come back. Fire them up again tonight.

The attacking Coyotes are coming off of a game yesterday, and will be traveling to San Jose this evening. Arizona has scored 2.4 goals on average on the second night of back-to-backs. Arizona ranks 15th in goals per game, as they have dropped a bit from earlier in the season. Jones has been superb of late, winning seven of his last ten games, with a 2.07 GAA. They are projected to score 2.4 goals tonight, while Jones is a heavy favorite with San Jose. I will take Jones and save some cash to spend elsewhere. He did not start last game, so expect him back in net.

So I mentioned Edmonton above as the popular line, but if you want to pivot in the same likely high scoring game, do it with the Jets. The Oilers have allowed 3.0 goals per game this season, and have a below average PK%. Winnipeg is a fairly cheap line to stack tonight as well, so Blake Wheeler, Dustin Byfuglien, and Nikolaj Ehlers are in play to pair up. Edmonton are allowing 31.4 shots per game, which is the 5th most in the NHL. Expect this one to be very high scoring on both sides, as both defenses have lacked this season.

Mike Hoffman is tied with Bobby Ryan for points/60 among the Senators, and plays on the top line, as well as the first powerplay unit. This is another juicy game on both sides, but Ottawa carries a bit more upside. Hoffman has seven points in the last ten games, and four of those points have come on the man advantage. Columbus ranks 29th in goals allowed per game, and 26th in powerplay goals allowed. Hoffman is also a shooter, averaging four shots a game in the last ten games. Kyle Turris, Bobby Ryan, and Erik Karlsson are guys to pair with him.

A repeat pick from the other night, because Brent Burns has phenomenal upside. Arizona has allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing defenseman this season, and the most real points. Burns is in a great spot given his ice time, shots per game, and surrounding line-mates. Burns is coming off of a ten DK point game, registering ten shots on goal, and two assists. The Coyotes rank 28th in goals allowed per game, and are horrendous on the powerplay. I am looking for another big night out of Burns, and he pairs well with the powerplay unit, and top line. (Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, and Joe Pavelski)

I was surprised the Washington top line was so low owned the last time out, and I believe it was due to teams like Edmonton, Winnipeg, San Jose, and other cheaper high scoring teams. That should be the case again tonight, and we have seen plenty of times this Washington top line go off. Backstrom has 11 points in the last ten games, four coming on the man advantage. We saw an Alex Ovechkin - Backstrom duo go off two days ago, and the matchup is not bad against the average Dallas defense, who also can score themselves.

Value Plays

Jannik Hansen (W - VAN) FD: $5,500 DK: $4,000

Jannik Hansen is playing with the Sedin's on the top line, which puts him in a good spot to grab a point or two. We are looking for that tonight at these cheap price tags against Toronto. They have allowed 2.8 goals per game, and sport a subpar PK%. (80%) Toronto ranks in the middle of the league in fantasy points allowed to right wings.

Brandon Dubinsky (C - CBJ) FD: $5,900 DK: $4,600

Columbus is one of the higher projected scoring teams tonight, as Ottawa cannot keep the puck out of the net, ranking 29th in goals allowed per game. Dubinsky has nine points in the last ten games, and is skating on the top powerplay unit. Ottawa ranks dead last in PK%, and powerplay goals allowed.

Nick Leddy (D - NYI) FD: $4,900 DK: $4,500

Nick Leddy is on one of the better powerplay units in the league. Leddy has nine points in the last ten games, and six of those have come on the powerplay. Carolina is a slightly above average defensive team, but I do like the Islanders here with Carolina on the back-to-back. For fairly cheap, Leddy is a good source of value on the powerplay.
