Vegas Notes

- Dallas is the only team to have a 3.5 goal total on tonight's slate, which is understandable against Winnipeg. They will be the chalk tonight, but have the upside in tournaments.

- Panthers, Islanders, Canucks, Kings, and Hurricanes are projected to score over 2.75 goals tonight.

- Maple Leafs, Oilers, Predators, Rangers, and Devils are projected to score the lowest amount of goals.

Florida enter tonight's slate as the third largest favorites to come away with a win. Arizona has a projected score of 2.49 tonight, and I am banking on them falling below that mark, Vegas is as well. Roberto Luongo has been stellar at home this season with a 2.22 GAA, and a .927 SV%. Luongo has been a little up-and-down this season, and there are safer cash game options if you are looking for those plays. Jonathan Quick and Corey Crawford are those plays. Florida has allowed just 2.29 goals per game this season, ranking second in the league.

So who is going to give Luongo some goal support? Aleksander Barkov! He is back for tonight's game after missing the last three games. He had seven points in the seven games before that, and is in a stellar matchup. Arizona ranks 30th in GA/G this season, allowing over three per game. They also struggle killing off penalties, with a 77 PK%. Barkov is a cheaper center in comparison to the top plays tonight, but does have multi-point upside. Florida should definitely be overlooked tonight, but they are projected to score the second most goals on the slate.

The Kings will be popular plays tonight, and are likely candidates to score three plus goals. Jake Muzzin will the lesser owned (yet still popular) of the Kings' plays, and he brings solid upside for his price. Edmonton possesses an average penalty killing unit, and rank in the bottom five in goals allowed per game. Muzzin is coming off back-to-back games with a point, and should build on tonight's matchup. He is an economical play with upside for tonight's slate that features plenty of forwards to pay up for. Doughty will likely be the popular play, so Muzzin is a decent pivot.

I love the Islanders tonight, and the top two lines are definitely in play. Kyle Okposo has ten points in the last ten games, and came away with two helpers in the las meeting between these two teams. I am looking at the powerplay line here, featuring Anders Lee and John Tavares up top. Keep them in mind for tonight's slate. Calgary ranks 26th in man advantage goals allowed, and dead last in PK%. Look for the Islanders to light it up on their west coast swing tonight, and Okposo is at a moderate price tag on both sites.

I am going to eat some chalk here, and I really can't stop myself. For one, Tyler Segiun is fairly cheap on FanDuel, and the matchup is huge. Seguin has 11 points in the last 10 games, and has six points in four games against Winnipeg. He is averaging nearly six DK points a game against them. Dallas sits with a 3.5 total tonight, and they are the highest scoring team projected tonight. I will take the bet Dallas scores over three tonight, as they have in each matchup against Winnipeg this season.

Value Plays

Dustin Brown (W - LAK) FD: $4,100 DK: $4,100

Dustin Brown is a cheap first-liner worth a look tonight. Anze Kopitar is back tonight which should help him out. Brown has seven points in the last ten games, and gets an A+ matchup against Edmonton. He pairs well with linemates, and is a flier when paying up for top options.

Staal Brothers (C - CAR) FD: $6,500 $6,000 DK: $4,500 $5,000

Both Staal brothers are in play tonight against Toronto, and they are a terrific bargain on DraftKings. Toronto ranks 24th in goals allowed per game, and rank in the bottom 10 in PK%. Jordan Staal has been the hot one with 12 points in the last ten games, while Eric has been quiet.

Nick Leddy (D - NYI) FD: $4,900 DK: $4,500

Nick Leddy is in play for the same reason Okposo is. Leddy is on the 1st powerplay unit, and is in a favorable spot tonight. Leddy has nine points in the last ten games, and four of them have come on the powerplay.
