St. Louis Blues (+110) @ Dallas Stars (-120)

It's game one ladies and gentlemen ,so you know what that means -- prediction time! This is a tough series to call, but I think St. Louis pulls the upset and wins in seven! Now its time to go ahead and talk who I like this series and to watch out for!

It might be no surprise, but the top play for the Blues is Vladimir Tarasenko. Not only is he the Blues' best player, but he also provides that upside you look for in a tournament. He had six points in seven games last series against the Blackhawks, but he draws an easier matchup going up against the Stars. Alex Piertangelo is another guy from the Blues I like. He had 23 blocked shots, 6 points, 13 shots on goal against the Blackhawks last series, and is seeing over 30 minutes on the ice. He is a guy that fills up the stat sheet, and is an excellent cash game play. Brian Elliot was up-and-down last series, but is a goalie in play for me (tournaments). He should see many shots on goals, which means he will have a lot of blocked shots. In two starts against the Stars this season, Elliot had a 1-1 record, save percentage of .945% and averaged 5.2 fantasy points.

Other guys I like: Colton Parayko, Kevin Shattenkirk and Jaden Shwartz

I'm going to go ahead and say this right away. Tyler Seguin is not in play for me. Yes, he has had plenty of time to recover from the Achilles injury, but he will have some rust and draws a tough matchup going up against the Blues. One guy that I like a ton is Jamie Benn. He was a big part of the offense in round one and I expect this round to be no different. St.Louis had a time defending left wingers the season, as they ranked 26th. Benn has one of the best matchups on the series, so go ahead and plug him in for cash games! Another guy in play for me is Jason Spezza and Patrick Sharp. Kari Lehtonen is not in play for me at goalie. He struggled against the Wild and the Blues are a much better offense. Sure, he might have some good games, but he is way too inconsistent for me.

Other guys I like: Ales Hemsky and Johnny Oduya.
